Herman Wouk's sweeping epic of World War II stands as the crowning achievement of one of America's most celebrated storytellers. Like no other books about the war, Wouk's spellbinding narrative captures the tide of global events - and all the drama, romance, heroism, and tragedy of World War II - as it immerses us in the lives of a single American family drawn into the very center of the war's maelstrom.

Performance was probably the best I've heard, and my library is over 400. I thought there were too many songs, and there was a bit of a slow section. Movie was better, and this would be the first time my opinion about movie vs book would be such.
Also when will Audible fix this trash text editor to cap and punctuate my typing? ugggg.

Now instead of listening to something for 4 hours before FINALLY deciding WTF you are doing, you're gonna be all excited to get back to listening.. yay!

After hundreds of books and audibles, I have found my favorite read of all time.
The performance was enchanting, 'the Troubles' were enlightening, breath stopping, and very intriguing, and the complicated story that centers around a beautiful American woman amongst the feirce people who would do anything for Ireland and what should be a simple human rights.
It's a gloriously written story. Highly recommended to one and ALL.
