Publisher's summary

The 10th audiobook in Winston Graham's classic Poldark saga, now a major TV series from Masterpiece PBS.

Cornwall, 1813

A silver cup lies half-forgotten in a dank cave among a pile of stolen goods. Yet the tiny vessel and its inscription, Amor gignit amorem, haunts the lives of the still-feuding Poldark and Warleggan families, as Ross, Demelza, and the ambitious and powerful Sir George Warleggan watch their children make the decisions that will shape their destinies.

In the closing years of the wars against Napoleon, for Jeremy and Clowance, and for arrogant, cynical Valentine Warleggan, these are troubled and momentous times....

In his Poldark series, Winston Graham explores the complications of love lost and the class struggle of early 19th-century England with a light, comic touch. The Loving Cup is followed by the 11th audiobook in the series, The Twisted Sword.

Bravo!

It's been months and I am starting book twelve after reading The Twisted Sword. I am spell bound and full of the emotions of the characters in this incredible story of the Poldark family and people in the lives. I am most enjoying the historical timeline of the series with details I find myself looking further into.

great listen

I like this genre, and this series does not disappoint.
However I leave this review to praise the narrator. He is truly gifted and sure to be highly regarded by anyone treated to his work.

Poldark Family

I love that these last few books are about how grown the Poldark children are. I like the generation of Ross and Demelza's kids and how the family's children have grown.

Great book in Poldark Series

I liked it very much but I kept falling asleep so I had to hear it over and over and I'll be honest I don't like the narrations of demolza or a few other people they just don't sound as nice as PBS's Masterpiece Theater. but if you can get past that the storyline is good.

Great edition to the series

This edition to the Poldark Series added more adventure, romance, and mystery that I've come to love about this series. I really liked the suprises at the end. I was not expecting the turn of events. I look forward to the next book to further unfold the background and explain it all. Grateful that the author saw enough storyline to include many original characters, such as Demelza, Ross, and George in this book, but also created new interest through their children.

Quick paced and throughly engaged!

Another great addition to the Poldark series, and Oliver J. Hembrough's narration just gets better and better.
