From executive producers of The Walking Dead and Travis Beacham, the writer of Pacific Rim, comes a heart-stopping Audible Original featuring a brilliant British cast. Scratchy background noise ruins it!
Reviewed: 11-21-23
The storyline and characters were good. A little heavy on the teenage romance scenes. The discordant music and background noise made it hard to listen to and make out all the dialogue.

Story
When the crows gather over a remote Navajo Reservation in the deep Southwest, it is a sign that the thin veil that separates our world from the one beyond is about to open. Without a barrier between life and death, things pass between both worlds. Some of them are good. Most of them are not.

Story
Since his wife died, Ralph Roberts has been having trouble sleeping. Each night he wakes up a bit earlier until he's barely sleeping at all. During his late-night walks, he observes some strange things going on in Derry, Maine. He sees colored ribbons streaming from people's heads, two strange little men wandering around town after dark, and more. He begins to suspect that these visions are something more than hallucinations brought on by lack of sleep.

Really annoying music
Reviewed: 03-11-21
The intro music to each chapter is so loud that it drowns out the narrator for a few seconds. Finding it really grating- don’t know if I’ll finish the story even though I like Stephen King.

Story
The world is suddenly thrown into chaos as a research project is sabotaged and the dead come alive to feast on the living - it seems like an old story, doesn’t it? The Apocalypse Crusade is not that book. You are not suddenly thrust into a world gone mad. Instead, you get front-row seats to how the sh-t went down. In real time you are witness to the agony and the horror…and the terrible stupidity that made it all possible.

Just right mix if mystery, magic, and a touch of romance!
Reviewed: 08-10-20
My only disappointment was that the author has no more books. Just a touch of romance not the obnoxious makes me want to gag of most romance novels. Good characters that you want more of and interesting fantasy plots.

Billy Todd has always been different. Most people called him odd, and those were the nice people. Though he was born with a learning disability, Billy's parents never allowed him to consider himself disabled. Raised to be self-sufficient, Billy might not be as smart as some, but he was a lot smarter than people realized.

More of a survivalist fantasy. Slogs along with day to day scavenging and living conditions after a pandemic. A bit preachy at times, no dramatic ending or epiphany. Characters are just interesting enough to keep you reading but not much depth developed.

Characters too young for situations
Reviewed: 07-18-19
Good story and characters, liked the narrator. My only concern is that I found it a bit disturbing that the main character and her brother were only 10 but put in adult situations. If they had made them 14 or maybe even 12 but 10 didn’t seem believable and a little creepy.
