The story was interesting, tense and a fun. I don't typically read horror, but I enjoyed following the characters journey through the zombie hellscape. I also thought most of the characters were well developed. I recommend the series

Good Take on Time Travel

I really enjoyed this story......up until the ending. The author presented an interesting take on time travel and I wish he had explored this further.
There were so many cool and wonderful things that could have happened, but unfortunately the 3rd act took all the action and excitement away by becoming a love story. it's like the author ran out of ideas.
Now I have nothing against love stories, but I wanted more time travel, world and story building. I won't provide spoilers, but what the author did with this world was really interesting.
By going the love story route, readers were presented with one convenient plot device after another to get the story to a nice, predictable tidy ending. This is why I really enjoy Steven King so mich, he doesn't let the reader off so easy and we love him for it!
There are two other books in this series and since they are included in Kindle unlimited, I might read the 2nd, but I'm not sure.

I really enjoyed the actors portrayals, but the story was sometimes contrived and just ridiculous. That said, it's worth a listen since it's free with membership. The sound effects were great and effective in keeping you engrossed and absorbed in the story.
