About this listen

Please note: This audio drama is for mature audiences only. It contains strong language, violence, and sexual content. Discretion is advised.

“Once this journey takes hold, I find I’m able to think as my character thinks, act as he acts, and feel what my character is feeling...”

James Patterson leads you into the darkest recesses of the mind with this chilling, immersive audio thriller. We meet Brent Quill, a frustrated actor trying to take his game to the next level. When he learns about the intensive Method acting process, he dives in deep—and immediately lands the lead role in a TV series about a brutal serial killer.

But when the Method’s controversial techniques start to take over Brent’s psyche, the lines between real life and acting begin to blur dangerously. How far will Brent go to “become” the character?

Starring Zachary Quinto (Star Trek, Heroes), Stephanie Beatriz (Encanto, Brooklyn Nine-Nine), Lil Rel Howery (Get Out), and a full cast, The Method is pure James Patterson—a roller-coaster ride of lies, coverups, and dark deeds.

OMG!!!! James Patterson

It's short but GOOD! Narrators were on point. Brent vs PJ was easy to tell which was which even though it was the same reader. This book had me thinking about even when I wasn't listening to it. You did well James & Michael.

A play with a cast of characters for your enjoymen

Even my teenage sons who do not particularly enjoy audiobooks even though they are readers said this was different than the usual fare. And enjoyed listening to the various cast of actors of actors and the constant plot twists.

Amazing performance.

Everything in this performance was phenomenal. Anything Zachary Quento is a part of is special and he brought his A game here to yet another spectacular James Patterson creation. Storyline actors, all of it came together for an awesome unexpected experience that left me blown totally out of the water. Good Job audible, James Patterson and all involved. 5 star rating all across the board.

Simply Amazing

I love these fully dramatized performances. The ability of Zachary Quinto to switch characters on Brent is wonderful.
