The wonderful second memoir from Susan Duncan, which picks up where Salvation Creek ended. The House at Salvation Creek picks up after Bob and Susan marry and, two years later, move from her Tin Shed into his 'pale yellow house on the high, rough hill', Tarrangaua, built for the iconic Australian poet Dorothea Mackellar.

Inspiring true story of living life well
Reviewed: 01-20-18
I was given the paper back version of the first book Salvation Creek and couldn't put it down. Audible had the series so I listened to second - The House at Salvation Creek. It reminded me to schedule time away from work, to enjoy life, the company of others, giving the gift of food, time, friendship, love. A book about life and death and realising what living is about. When things seem to be rock bottom, to never give up and be amazed with what or who you attract next in your life. It also reminded me of the great Aussie way of life which makes you smile, laugh and just get on with it. Highly recommended.

I listened to the first 3 books, which were all great. I got a bit frustrated that the two main characters had still not got together. I read the review for the rest of the series so it is no secret that this is the book that proves to be the start of a great thing between Kate and Curren. It is worth a credit - go for it.

Story
It's going to take a Beast to tame this Beauty. The Enigma Earl. The Lord Phantom. That's what the gossip pages call Lord Greenwich, a mysterious nobleman who doesn't show his face in London Society. With a reputation like that, it's no wonder that Lydia Montgomery is horrified to be dragged from bed and packed off to live with him to save her mother from penury. While Lydia has received all of the training a lady should endure, she's decidedly un-ladylike.
