I'm an Enneagram 7 who heard of Annie F. Downs through Ian Cron's "Typology" podcast.
As a grandmother and elementary school counselor in Texas, I thoroughly enjoyed "That Sounds Fun" ! Annie described my view of life and helped me understand my spiritual gifts. Through detailing her experience this last year, she ALSO helped me understand why the Covid-19 lock-down was especially challenging for me.
Annie Downs is a brilliant storyteller and entertainer whose meaningful Christian insights lead us to a deeper, more joyful, spiritual journey.
I highly recommend this audiobook, and I'm now a regular listener of her "That Sounds Fun" podcast!

Once described by The Washington Post as "the most interesting mayor you've never heard of", Pete Buttigieg, the 36-year-old Democratic mayor of South Bend, Indiana, has improbably emerged as one of the nation's most visionary politicians. First elected in 2011, Buttigieg left a successful business career to move back to his hometown, previously tagged by Newsweek as a "dying city", and transformed it into a shining model of urban reinvention.

I loved hearing about Pete Buttigieg’s life: his upbringing, his values, his view of military service and the challenges faced by his city (which represent much of what happens across the entire country). Most of all I came to appreciate his humanness, thoughtfulness, and intelligence.

Story
Jenna Fischer's Hollywood journey began at the age of 22 when she moved to Los Angeles from her hometown of St. Louis. She was determined, confident, and ready to work hard. So, what could go wrong? Uh, basically everything. The path to being a professional actor was so much more vast and competitive than she’d imagined. It would be eight long years before she landed her iconic role on The Office, nearly a decade of frustration, rejection, and doubt. If only she’d had a handbook for the aspiring actor. Or, better yet, someone to show her the way. Jenna wants to be that person for you.

I've listened to several audio books and I'm very picky about the "performance" aspect. After hearing Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey on their podcast, "The Office Ladies" (which I love!), I knew that this Audible Book read by the author would be a good listen and present "A Survival Guide" to help non-actors, as well.
As a former college career counselor I would definitely recommend this for graduates, but it would also inspire persons who feel a need to change jobs or careers and those experiencing plateaus or set-backs, loneliness or sadness.
Thank you, Jenna Fischer, for not hiding your brushstrokes, and helping us learn techniques for tackling life's challenges. You are so kind to use your acquired knowledge to make the journey a bit smoother for those at various points along life's path.

I was very much looking forward to this Audible book since Ian Morgan Cron had recommended her and his Audible book was excellent and it was read by him, the author.
The reader’s voice lacked conversational tone and it almost sounded like an automated text-to-speech app. I cannot listen to this for 20 hours more, especially while driving.
The subject matter seems quite interesting but I won’t be finishing this.
