Story
Against the backdrop of worldwide, unexplainable natural disasters, Dr. Virginia Marilyn Edwards (Emmy Award-winner Kerry Washington) seeks out Agent Scott Thomas (Emmy Award-winner Laurence Fishburne) at a secretive government headquarters. Virginia claims these events are signs, and unless Agent Thomas helps her, she believes things will only get worse. Her desperation is dialed up higher with a shocking proclamation as she stands before him pregnant, weak, and weary: “Agent Thomas,” she says, “I believe I am Mary.”

leave narration to narrators not actors
Reviewed: 08-29-22
I like the idea of separation between tv/movie actors and narrators. Narration was not terrible but I can't support tv/movie actors taking over audibles like they have cartoons. no thank you.

Story
Monsters and beasts roamed the earth and were slain by soldiers and adventurers who were, in turn, killed by stronger threats. Heroes and villains created new epics and were forgotten when their successors appeared. This was the way of the Infinite World. Summoned into this chaotic place, a young boy with no name and no past must learn to survive. Bound to a master who doesn't care whether he lives or dies, he must become stronger. The question is: how?

this is the first boon where I thought "I wish I knew what this world looks like." this is a great story but the author did not build the world, nor the characters. the character with the most detail is the companion of the MC.

I wanted to try a YA series which is not too "Genius Files" and not too "Dragon Squisher" for my budding magic lovers. My kids enjoyed this book and a begging for boom two.

Story
Gracie Reed is doing just fine. Sure, she was fired by her overly “friendly” boss, and yes, she still hasn’t gotten her mother into the nursing home of their dreams, but she’s healthy, she’s (somewhat) happy, and she’s (mostly) holding it all together. But when a mysterious SUV pulls up beside her, revealing Chinese cinema's golden couple Wei Fangli and Sam Yao, Gracie’s world is turned on its head. The famous actress has a proposition: Due to their uncanny resemblance, Fangli wants Gracie to be her stand-in.

After forming a coalition of human resistance against the enemy invasion, Dalinar Kholin and his Knights Radiant have spent a year fighting a protracted, brutal war. Neither side has gained an advantage, and the threat of a betrayal by Dalinar’s crafty ally Taravangian looms over every strategic move. Now, as new technological discoveries by Navani Kholin’s scholars begin to change the face of the war, the enemy prepares a bold and dangerous operation. The arms race that follows will challenge the very core of the Radiant ideals.

I hoped Shallan has a catastrophic ending through out this book. Why does she need multiple personalities? Too much like Leeds, though not a tenth as good. she sucks the story.
Brandon please kill her off or have her suffer a stroke that makes her whole again.
I love Kal but this bi-polar, manic type behavior, is getting so tiresome.

Here, in her remote village - a wasteland smoldering in the shadows of outlying foreign armies - being imbued with the magic of the scribes has made her future all the more uncertain. Through intricate carvings of the flesh, scribes can grant temporary invulnerability against enemies to those seeking protection. In an embattled world where child scribes are sold and traded to corrupt leaders, Anna is invaluable.

I would have given this book 5 stars, but the narrator wasn't as into the topic as I was. He literally yawned 3 times, loudly, in less than 10 minutes during Series 3 topic 1.
