Story
Dancing is everything to me. It’s the mother I lost, the father who never sees me. It’s the fiery love of my life, and I’ll defend it to my last breath—that’s what it means to be the lead principal at one of the best ballet companies in the world. Just when I thought I was on top, my greatest rival—my eternal nemesis—waltzes back into my life: Nicoló Savini. The ache in my bones and the bane of my existence. If he thinks I’ll sit back and let him steal my spotlight, he’s sorely mistaken.

Caspien Deveraux was poison. It took me years to realise that he hadn't been born like that. He'd been cultivated and nurtured by a careful hand and a bitter heart. When I first met him, he was a bud. One primed to bloom beautifully and deadly. One I should have torn out at the root.

The character depth of the 2 MC’s is outstanding. Nicky does such a great job bringing her characters to life! Jersey and Koa are as different as night and day but they just work! And the storyline was heartbreaking but had so much meaning! Excellent story and should be high on your list of listens/reads!

Story
It's official: my step bro is the biggest himbo ever to himbo. He's a massive blond beefcake with a soft heart and an over-eager smile. The mere sight of him incites a shaking hot rage in me. He's everywhere. He's around me all the time. So sweet and gentle that it makes me feel wild. I see him and smell him everywhere. When I can't see him or smell him, I hear him. The wall between our bedrooms is paper thin. I can't help it—I hear what he does in his room when he thinks he's alone. I hear everything.

I cannot express how much I loved this story…. Rick”s writing was so well done and the narration was perfect! The reality of what it was like to be a gay man in the 80”s was told in the book in what some may feel is a depressing manner, but it was the truth with how many lives were lost to aids and the horrible discrimination many people dealt with…. My congrats to Rick on his ability to capture so much of the truth from the early days to how far we have come! Loved it so much!

Too much gender identification
Reviewed: 02-28-22
Being a die-hard m/m listener/reader I am 100% on board with LGBTQ identification…. But I really really struggled with this authors need to have a 6 year old referred as “they or them” throughout the story. It was so distracting to me that I was unable to truly enjoy the actual story. I understand the reasoning but a 6 year old born as a boy really cannot understand a thing about gender at that age. It was just too much for me and will steer me away from this author in the future.

Story
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Outstanding & Captivating!!! So sad I have finished the book!
Reviewed: 01-18-22
I rarely listen to “space” stories, but for some reason Hail Mary caught my attention enough that I actually bought it! I NEVER pay full price for an audio book!!
Let me begin by saying how absolutely awesome Ray Porters performance made this book… by the end of the book he had me feeling like we (Ryland Grace) became life long friends and I learned a lot about science stuff that I would normally of found over my head and boring. Ray just made me want to continually listen the entire 16 hours straight through!
And last but certainly not least, Andy Weir’s writing abilities is what brought the greatness of this book together…..this was the first book I have read/listened of Andy’s, but will most definitely not be the last….
Rarely am I sad when a book is finished…. I loved the ending, it was exactly how I was hoping it would end…. Thank you for the best 16 hours I have spent in a long time….

S.E.Harmon you are a masterful storyteller, I am so sad this 3rd book has ended and none to follow as far as I can tell!!! 😢
I absolutely loved this series…. Initially I was worried that it was going to be difficult to love book 2 and 3 due to the narrator change, but Kirt Graves is one of my all time favorite narrators so it was no issue… please continue with Kirt if there are more books coming!! Are there more books coming????
Rain and Danny are such awesome MC’s and the way their storyline has developed throughout the 3 books is so warm, fuzzy and hilarious… I am sure people thought I was crazy as I was laughing while driving, grocery shopping and so on while listening… I could not put my phone away …. ☺️
This series is worth any money or credits spent…. Just loved it ….

Initially when I began listening to this story I had a bit of difficulties following the new introduction of characters and story lines for each new chapter. I found I had to really pay attention and immerse myself in the story, my multi-tasking habits had to be put on hold for a bit. Once I got past this bump, the characters came to life once the introduction chapters were completed. How they ended up connecting later in the story was amazing. I couldn’t wait to find out what was going to happen next. I loved the details used to describe the characters, their surroundings and emotions. The “Q” is definitely a place I think we all could relate to at some point in our lives, I felt like I had gone back in time as I listened to the description of it ☺️
Donald Davenport was a new narrator for me, he did a good job, not great as his voice inflections did not change enough from character to character in my opinion. His narration did not make me want to stop listening, I just have several favorite narrators I am hooked on.
Rick R. Reed is a new author to me, I am honored that I was awarded this book with the intent to provide a review. In summary, I highly recommend this book, just plan to be 100% committed to listening for the first several chapters. After that you will be hooked and will be able to listen while multi-tasking! I loved Rick’s style of writing so much that I will searching for other things he has written.
