Ending Worth the Wait
Reviewed: 04-15-25
It begins with an explosion then is slow to explore the possible explanations behind the
bomb; so many red herrings & avenues to entertain. Almost gave it up but glad I hung in there as the last hour or two was exciting & unpredictable but satisfying. Was a bit too drawn out in the early chapters but as usual he delivers in the end.

Great story of a potential future of uncontrollable A. I.
Well written & some well researched science behind the spy yarn that keeps you
entertained & a bit scared of
it's implications. It seems we
may need the gray man more than ever if this thing gets in the wrong hands down the line. The potential danger of a world where machines rule
humans is very aptly presented. An early warning.

The Bad Guys Win ?

Still a great writer but at least in The Firm, we had the bad guys face the music. So despite the resurrection of Mitch & Abby,
the story was just ok with the
letdown ending.

For most of the last hundred years, Biloxi was known for its beaches, resorts, and seafood industry. But it had a darker side. It was also notorious for corruption and vice, everything from gambling, prostitution, bootleg liquor, and drugs to contract killings. The vice was controlled by small cabal of mobsters, many of them rumored to be members of the Dixie Mafia.

Reacher goes where he wants, when he wants. That morning he was heading west, walking under the merciless desert sun — until he comes upon a curious scene. A Jeep has crashed into the only tree for miles around. A woman is slumped over the wheel. Dead? No, nothing is what it seems. The woman is Michaela Fenton, an army veteran turned FBI agent trying to find her twin brother, who might be mixed up with some dangerous people. Most of them would rather die than betray their terrifying leader.
