Not as good as the first

I felt this book was a bit repetitive. I was ready for the story to move on…
The narrator does a great job.

Good story, okay narration

I think that this story has great potential, but lacked detail and time. The narrator was fine, although I feel it could have used a little more emotion.

Story
The auction block awaits, and a vicious vampire prince wants me and what flows through my veins. So I make a run for it, only to end up falling at the feet of a fae warden. Technically, Roar, the Warden of the West, should return me to the vampire court, but he has other ideas. He needs a fake fiancée. The deal: if I play his dutiful partner at the Winter Court and help him trick the cold King of Winter, Roar will hide me from the blood-suckers intent on draining the life from me. I agree, and for a while, it seems like nothing can go wrong. That is until Vale sets his sights on me.

Wasn’t my favorite

I found this book entertaining, but lacking a lot of depth. I personally think it would’ve been a better listen with a different narrator. I don’t regret the listen, but I decided not to continue the series.

Story
Wolf of the North: It has been generations since the Northlands have seen a hero worthy of the title. Many have made the claim, but few have lived to defend it. Timid, weak, and bullied, Wulfric is as unlikely a candidate as there could be. Jorundyr's Path: Jorundyr's Path is walked only by the brave. As Wulfric pursues Adalhaid's Blood Debt, he soon learns that the path to revenge is never easy. The Blood Debt: A blade fit for a hero. An army for a tyrant. A reckoning long awaited, and a tale reaching its end.

Absolutely amazing… with only one, personal critique. (SPOILER)

Excellent character growth & development. Excellent storyline. The narrator did a fantastic job. I loved this trilogy and would highly recommend it.
*** HUGE SPOILER 👇🏼 ***
(but I kind of wish I had known…)
The ending was a bit of a disappointment for me because the heroine dies at the end. Although she is avenged (and the story leaves you with all of the closure you need) I was left wishing for more of a deserved happiness for the hero, since we had walked through his journey and struggles for three books. With that said, this fact is not enough to make me regret listening to the series. It was wonderful, whereas I would normally be upset at the turn of events. I feel it would have been a better ending with a “happy ending” but I suppose it’s just the romantic in me 😉
