Not really a why choose

This book is not a why choose. This is more of a prequel to one. This book is not a girl with 3 boyfriends who are all boyfriends. No, this book is more like a girl and three guys who explore and struggle with their feelings for one another without the communication required to have a healthy polyamorous relationship. I'm hoping book 2 shows them in the why choose frame of mind instead of this struggle of wrestling with feelings of betrayal stemming from the expectations of monogamy. I like the potential of the characters, so I want to be able to count this first book as "world building".

It was painful listening to this book. It lacked the human nuance that audiobooks require, making it reminiscent of selecting read aloud for a text book. Also, the narration made it feel awkward, negating the quality of the story.

This book was recommended to me by a friend after she found out that I started my spooky season reading early. It was interesting and definitely not what I usually go for. I will say I stayed for the FMC and her friend who gives ride or die vibes. I appreciated challenging of religious perspective. Overall this gave me worshipping an alien as a god vibes

This Omega doesn’t do drama, drugs, or hockey players. The first two for obvious reasons. The last because I don’t shit where I eat. As the daughter of the Phoenix Heat’s owner, I know better than to dip my toes into that particular pool. The league is way too small a world, and I am a drama-free zone. When my daddy strongly suggests (read: insists) I come home for a visit, how can I say no? But without my besties by my side, there’s no one to stop me from making an epicly stupid decision when I discover the Heat’s captain in a compromising position.

Can't go wrong if the Bordeauxs are narrating. First hockey setting book. Has some MM which I do t mind at all. Personally I'm a fan but if you're not into it, you might want to look elsewhere.

I loved this book. The FMC is a badass which I'm always a sucker for and the narrators are my favorite duo. I have very few triggers so I didn't have a problem but be aware that there is mention of child SA.
