Story
After the old gods warred and drove themselves to extinction, the cataclysm of their fall shattered the land of Vigrio. Now, power-hungry jarls carve out petty kingdoms, and monsters stalk the shadow-haunted woods and mountains. A world where the bones of the dead gods still hold great power, promising fame, and fortune for those brave - or desperate - enough to seek them out. As whispers of war echo over the plains and across the fjords, fate follows the footsteps of three people. All three will shape the fate of the world, as it once more teeters on the edge of chaos.

I found it difficult to keep up with the characters at first. well into the story, I only found it difficult to keep up with the secondary characters. overall though, it was a great story. unique and full of action. all of which was well written.

Since the 1970s, FantasticLand has been the theme park where "Fun is Guaranteed!" But when a hurricane ravages the Florida coast and isolates the park, the employees find it anything but fun. Five weeks later, the authorities who rescue the survivors encounter a scene of horror. Photos soon emerge online of heads on spikes outside of rides and viscera and human bones littering the gift shops, breaking records for hits, views, likes, clicks, and shares.

Crazy story
Reviewed: 09-21-21
I was going intrigued by this for the description, but I got it because of Luke. I've always enjoyed his narrations. I'm glad I gave this story a shot. it's difficult to pull off the interview style of storytelling. This one nailed it. I wanted to hear from as many people as possible. I wanted all the details. I felt like this was something I could have heard about on the news and was getting an exclusive about. Luke Daniels and Angela Dawe really brought it to life. It felt like each character was different. Loved this book.

this story was pretty good at first. it just seems like, for every threat the protagonist faces, he's given way too many benefits. there doesn't feel like there is much real conflict. so many things take a back seat and seem to be forgotten.
I will give the next one a listen, but if it's more of the same, I'll likely stop there.

this was a very interesting and unique story, but if I'm honest, I hated the protagonist. I get what the author was going for and it was well done. I just hated the guy. still a good story though. maybe better because I had such mixed feelings for the main character. we don't need to like every hero. well worth the listen.

very slow start

the beginning was like a technical manual for a tv. I listened for a long time before it actually got interesting. I feel they could have thrown in the, important, technical details throughout the action. instead, we get all of them up front and without much ceremony. just a list of how his rig works, how his security is set up, how the company is split up, how they aquired the rights to this or that. it just went on and on. after all of that though, we were back into the Oasis on a good ol fashion puzzle quest. so, it got much better.
