Story
Lia Doe came to Mystic Bayou for one simple reason: to get her job done. Namely, to build a housing complex for all the new residents flocking to town since word of its supernatural population got out. But from the moment Lia arrives, it’s clear that nothing about the job is going to be simple.

mythical creatures were interesting but mundane after that
Reviewed: 06-17-25
Amanda's voice was announcing to me. It was harsh and loud. At the end I skipped the parts she read. Johnathan's voice seemed more suited for the story. it would have been less distracting for the nale to read the male parts. The woman trying to sound like a man was hideous. The story was so so, pretty predictable, and has been told before. I won't be going on to any other books. There could have been more mythical creatures stuff and kiss discribing mundane things.

I enjoyed the flow of the action and the story
Reviewed: 05-23-25
This of course is a zombies taking over book but it was fun to listen to and it has an element of supernatural scifi. I was drawn in by the suspense and the story progression. It had a satisfying ending even though it is part of a series of books. I don't like when authors leave readers hanging at they end so they buy the next book. I also thought the voice actors were excellent. Each voice seemed to fit the character and the emotions of the story.

In the heart of the South Pacific lies Point Nemo, the most desolate and remote place on Earth. At its core is a dead zone, devoid of life, where government agencies crash their obsolete satellites and space stations, confident they won't harm a soul. When the International Space Station suffers a catastrophic failure and plummets through the atmosphere, it's here that Mission Specialist Julie Rohr, an astrobiologist studying living space dust called xylem, finds herself marooned. Julie's only hope for rescue lies in the hands of her estranged father, Dr. Finn Maddern, a renowned mycologist.

good alien Sci fi, different and imaginative, so descriptive
Reviewed: 05-18-25
This book is great for those that enjoy a good alien invader scifi. it is witty, emotional, suspenseful, so descriptive that the images easily pop up in your head like a movie, and the alien does some wicked stuff. I could not stop listening. I listened to it twice. The ending was very far out there and I think the Tyler character would have been a more believable hero in the end. Overall my favorite kind of scifi. RC Bray is an excellent voice actor. He has such a range in his voice that you can tell who the characters are. He has a voice that is not harsh, too soft, or loud and annoying, and thank goodness he doesn't read with an accent unless it is called for in the story. Some books I don't buy because I can't get past the readers voice to enjoy the story. But, I have enjoyed all the books I purchased read by him.

Story
The world has changed. Now, when someone is murdered, they almost always come back to life—and there are professionals, called “dispatchers”, who kill in order to save lives, to give those near the end a second chance. Tony Valdez is a dispatcher, and he has never been busier. But for as much as the world has changed, some things have stayed the same. Greed, corruption, and avarice are still in full swing.

I walk around like I'm Reach when I'm taking on task I like his leadership and confidence. oh my and Brody is an awesome addition to the team with all you sayings from GI Joe, Comando, & other movies.. AND THE INFAMOUS R.C. BRAY narration with his voice inflection is sooo enjoyable. even when describing the really technical items of the mission or the technology of the androids. On to book 3 😁.

Story
It usually seems like we don’t have the time to do the things we want. Between studying, work, or taking care of children, the chances for sitting down and learning things are getting harder to find. We all have our reasons for learning a language, though. Maybe you want to travel, talk to relatives from another country, or you’re trying to get the extra edge at work.

Don't think I learned much in my sleep; I be out but awake I learned a lot. This book is a good supplement to other learning. I takes a while to get to naming things in Spanish class and I like that with this book I can point to things in the house and body parts to practice saying the. It is very calming with a soft voice and music for playing while sleeping.
