I liked this book about a baseball star falling for a famous pop artist, but I think it would have been better as a dual first person POV instead of 3rd person. I just got tired of hearing the name, “Jimmy” all the time. I would have rather enjoyed listening to them speak of themselves in the first person.
Jimmy and Lacey have chemistry from the first time they meet, but it takes a while, and difficult circumstances for them to realize what they really have.
I can’t imagine how difficult it is to live in the spotlight, but I think the author does a good job of showcasing what life must be like when you have no privacy and you truly want something more with another person.
I liked how Jimmy and Lacey figured it out, and while the book is HFN, it feels like they will make it.
Both narrators do a very nice job.

Yeah, bad ones. Everly Davis didn’t leave her tight-knit hometown on the best terms. It’s been ten years, but you don’t forget heartbreak like that. Then again, the anonymous invite to the annual Kiss Lottery in Rose, Tennessee, gives Everly content for her podcast. And she has a bone to pick with that old heartbreak anyway.

This is a sweet second chance romance between life long friends and high school crushes. Everly and Beckett have known each other for years, but betrayals in their past lead them in different directions as adults. Until it’s time for her to return home when she receives an invitation to the Kiss Lottery.
This book was full of lessons learned in youth and how to forgive and move on. It is set in a fun, small town; with mystery and quirky characters. I really enjoyed this story.
The narrators both did a great job.

Wolfe Family Finale ❤️🏝️💵💙
Reviewed: 01-03-25
Even though there’s more books in this series, this wraps up the four Wolfe siblings pretty cleanly. There’s a lot of drama and tension, but it’s well written overall. There’s still some holes, but not enough to take totally from the story.
It’s mind blowing to think people can be that evil, especially a priest.
The next part of the series moves into the lives of the women who are rescued. It will be nice to see them get a better ending to their lives.
The narrators all do a good job.

Riley’s story is heartbreaking and not for the faint of heart. Be sure to heed TW. But it a good story of survival. How people can overcome horrific situations in their lives.
This is a love story wrapped in a mystery. It is a FAST romance, meaning Riley meets Matteo and they marry in under two weeks. I’d like more build in a relationship, but the story line is good. There are some holes, but since it’s a romance with mystery and not the other way around, I give it grace.
It’s an intriguing series.
The narrators do an excellent job.

Roy and Charlie have another insta-love in this next book in the series as the story continues about the Wolfe family.
He’s a tortured artist, and as his memories return, you discover how truly tortured his life and others around him have been. Charlie helps him begin to heal. She is able to see inside him and help unravel the key.
There’s a lot of mystery and intrigue in this series, which needs to be read in order to truly make sense. It can be drawn out at times, but overall, is pretty good.

This was a cute story that has Tilly hiding out when George unexpectedly shows up to get the house ready to sell. It’s comical to see how she hides out, until she has to reveal herself.
George is good example of a man who had put himself into a life he wants out of, and eventually gets to where he wants to be.

I like Miles and Ellie’s story, there were a lot of fun elements to it, but it’s very slow moving. The characters were interesting and I felt like I got to know them, but I also got a bigger taste of NO than I would’ve liked.
I enjoyed the resolution as they figure out how to navigate teen mistakes. It’s amazing the power of social media. The way she captures his heart at the end was sweet. It has a nice HEA.
