Story
Mitch Rapp hates owing anyone a favor—especially when it’s the world’s most powerful crime lord. But when Damian Losa calls, Mitch is honor bound to answer. The Syrian government has created a highly addictive new narcotic that it plans to distribute throughout Europe. It’s a major threat to Losa’s business and he’s determined to stop it by any means necessary. Rapp is the perfect choice for the mission. Not only does he have extensive experience operating in the Middle East, but he’s also entirely expendable.

Especially disappointed with the reader. Loved George Guidall. No comparison. Story line felt sluggish. Almost didn’t finish the book. Just an overall disappointment.

Not his best

The speaker was too exaggerated at times to suit me. He definitely is not one of my favorite readers. I wasn’t impressed with the dialogue between Rapp and Donatella (sp) when Rapp was trying to make her identify who hired her. Way too repetitious and forced. A better reader may have made a difference.

Disappointed
Reviewed: 12-31-23
This story was so full of cursing and foul language that I almost didn’t finish it. That would have been too bad as the story was entertaining and the reader was excellent. I would like to follow the series, but I just don’t care to listen to the language. Disappointed.

Definitely not my favorite.

Definitely not my favorite. To use an old expression, the reader’s herky- jerky style left a lot to be desired. He did not have the voice changes that help make a story interesting. For me, this was a weak story which could have been improved by a different reader. But even the story was a bit too repetitive.

I really enjoyed the unfolding of the story. The development was such that I didn’t want to put it down. The characters and plot were well thought out. And the twists and turns were not always predictable. Good story and good reader. I will no doubt read again at some point. I am interested in checking out more books by Gregg Dunnett.

This was a very disappointing book. The style of writing made it difficult to follow. It just seem disjointed to me. I’ll probably not read any further in the series as a result…if any more are written.

This is one of my favorites. There is much to this story: Mystery, war, defeat, victory, humor, sorrow and a number of surprises as the tale develops. I love a story with a happy ending. Enormously entertaining. All that said, I could only wish there was one male and one female reader.

Beautifully written, filled with suspense, sadness, a depth of understanding as well as a subject area that touches the heart. It is a look into tragic circumstances committed years before that took on a rippling effect years later changing multiple lives forever. I will listen again. Readers are superlative.
