Story
Beckett: If you’re reading this, well, you know the last-letter drill. You made it. I didn’t. Get off the guilt train, because I know if there was any chance you could have saved me, you would have. I need one thing from you: get out of the army and get to Telluride. My little sister Ella’s raising the twins alone. She’s too independent and won’t accept help easily, but she has lost our grandmother, our parents, and now me. It’s too much for anyone to endure. And here’s the kicker: there’s something else you don’t know that’s tearing her family apart.

To die or not to die?
Reviewed: 02-21-25
I liked this story, The narrators were pretty good, especially the voice of Beckett. It fit him so well or what you imagined him to be …deep and sultry type of voice. The sex scenes went on a bit long… To me that part wasn’t important as you could give an illusion or a little hint as to their hot love scene without all the details that make it awkward. At first, I was really ticked off that Colt was killed off, but then I see that, that is life… And not everything turns out like a Hallmark movie. Kids die, grief happens. Listening to the part where Beckett and Colt essentially say goodbye was heartbreaking enough to the point that I had to get a tissue just to wipe my eyes All in all, this family learned how to move on and honor Colt’s memory.

They say that the book is always better than the movie and in this case, that is so true. In the movie, they glossed over the raw motion over domestic abuse. The book took you there, and gave you all the feels.

The guilt and emotional baggage from the sister who was left behind
Reviewed: 01-01-25
Good story…. But the back and forth between the two families took so long to tie them together that I almost gave up… and even then, it was a little detached…. But still, the emotions that emerged from Caitlin over her guilt at not being the savior for her sister was heartbreaking…

I feel like Nicholas Sparks is running out of ideas here…. Same old story line… boy meets girl, they don’t want to care about each other but they do… toss in some predictable drama and it all works out in the end. That’s NS in a nutshell. It used to work, but it doesn’t seem to do it anymore.

Story
Meet the women of Delaney Gardens, a bustling suburban village in the outer reaches of Dublin. There's Cassie, who's spent her married life doing everything right for her children, husband, and mother-in-law yet feels so exhausted that "wine o'clock" comes a little earlier each afternoon. There's her sister, Coco, who runs a vintage dress shop but has avoided the complications of romantic commitment. Watching over them is their grandmother, Pearl, who, despite caring deeply for her family, is contending with a long-buried secret.

Good story, although it was a little predictable… The narration was very good. I think this would make a pretty good movie especially the conflict between Jim and Marguerite.

Meet Ove. He’s a curmudgeon—the kind of man who points at people he dislikes as if they were burglars caught outside his bedroom window. He has staunch principles, strict routines, and a short fuse. But behind the cranky exterior there is a story and a sadness. So when one November morning a chatty young couple with two chatty young daughters move in next door and accidentally flatten Ove’s mailbox, it is the lead-in to a comical and heartwarming tale of unkempt cats, unexpected friendship, and the ancient art of backing up a U-Haul.
