Story
Two days ago, Jo Davids was a waitress by night and a college kid by day, with the unnerving problem of things floating around her. One day ago, Jo's sexy boss, Cormac, noticed her for all the wrong reasons when she witnessed a man transform into a monster in the basement of his casino. Today, Cormac ordered her shot. If he's real lucky, she won't die. Because if she does, all hope is lost.

Enjoyed the story but not the narration
Reviewed: 03-15-16
The story is good, you can tell the series is going to get even better as it goes along. I love this author's H's. The narration is a real downer. It is flat, when there is intonation, it is off and it was distracting. I am going to keep going so I hope the narrator finds her grove.

Miss Linnet Berry Thrynne is a Beauty... Naturally, she's betrothed to a Beast. Piers Yelverton, Earl of Marchant, lives in a castle in Wales where, it is rumored, his bad temper flays everyone he crosses. And rumor also has it that a wound has left the earl immune to the charms of any woman. Linnet is not just any woman. She is more than merely lovely: her wit and charm brought a prince to his knees. She estimates the earl will fall madly in love - in just two weeks. She is more than merely lovely: her wit and charm brought a prince to his knees.

Even better than the book
Reviewed: 11-21-15
The narrator made this book come alive. I loved reading this book and didn't think it was possible to be even better in audio. Susan D. is incredibly talented. Her male voices are masculine and her repertoire of voices is almost unlimited. She and this book were a true pleasure to listen to for hours on the drive to work.

People say karma's a... well, you know. Personally, I don't think I'm that bad. It's not like I wanted this job. I wasn't even in my right mind when I accepted the position. Now, I'm surrounded by crazy coworkers like Lady Luck, who's a bit of a tramp, and Murphy's Law, who's a bumbling oaf. But the worst is Fate. He's got a problem with transfers like myself and I have to see him constantly. It's unavoidable, since we're hunting the same man, my murderer.

She arrives at the scene only minutes before Gideon Riehl, a wolf Wyr and current detective in the Wyr Division of Violent Crime - and, as Alice oh-so-inconveniently recognizes at first sight, her mate. 2 Good Stories for the Price of 1.
Reviewed: 06-07-14
Would you listen to Divine Tarot again? Why?
Probably after a while. The narration was fantastic but the stories were only really good, not great.
What did you like best about this story?
I loved the cuteness factor of the wyre identity of the heroine in True Colour.
What about Sophie Eastlake’s performance did you like?
She does a great variety of voices and her men sound like men.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Not quite but I could listen to this narrator read anything and I think it would enhance any story.
Any additional comments?
Both stories in this book were good and I would recommend reading it if you are a fan of the Elder Races.

What did you love best about Breakable?
The narrator was heaven. Lord, he could make anything sound sexy, he was that good.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Breakable?
Half way through the book, when the perspective became that of a teenage Landon. LOL
What does Zachary Webber bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
OMG……he makes the book. Is there such thing as a book boyfriend voice?
Any additional comments?

Would you be willing to try another one of Kate Simses’s performances?
Absolutely not!!! She may be able to moderate her high, squeaky little girl voice but she can't do a male voice. I hate to sound mean but I just listened to this on my way home and it was excruciating. Sorry.

I won't buy a book with this narrator in the future. It was that bad.

Story
Colleen O'Rourke is in love with love…just not when it comes to herself. Most nights, she can be found behind the bar at the Manningsport, New York, tavern she owns with her twin brother, doling out romantic advice to the lovelorn, mixing martinis, and staying more or less happily single. Ten years ago Lucas Campbell, her first love, broke her heart - an experience Colleen doesn't want to have again, thank you very much. Since then, she's been happy with a fling here and there, some elite-level flirting, and playing matchmaker to her friends.

Too much stalling.
Would you be willing to try another book from Kristan Higgins? Why or why not?
Always, this is a consist author.
What does Amy Rubinate bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
She does great voices. I love her Mrs. J.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No, it wasn't that engrossing.
Any additional comments?
Cute situations but too much stalling on the relationship and the matchmaking was at times was an unnecessary distraction from the base story. IMHO, her dog didn't get as much FaceTime in this book as others have had in the past. She writes great stories about animal love i.e. Catch of the Day, her best work. :)

Johanna Walker is used to taking charge. But she’s about to meet someone who will make her lose control....
It has always been up to Johanna to care for her family, particularly her younger brother, Cole. With an absent father and a useless mother, she’s been making decisions based on what’s best for Cole for as long as she can remember. She even determines what men to date by how much they can provide for her brother and her, not on whatever sparks may - or may not - fly. But with Cameron MacCabe, the attraction is undeniable....

What did you like best about Sins of the Demon? What did you like least?
The first %75 was just filler that didn't do anything to progress the story or the series. It was such a shame as the other books were magic. The last quarter or less was really good and what I had been waiting for but just a bit to late to impress me.
