Story
Buying a house was supposed to be a good investment. Too bad I bit off more than I can chew. Between my job at the bank and my utter lack of home improvement skills, I’m in way over my head. Then a friend suggests I hire a handyman. Enter Tyler. Tyler is down on his luck after a recent divorce, and we strike a deal that he fixes my house while I give him room and board as part of his pay. He’s the perfect roommate, amazing at his job, and he quickly becomes one of my closest friends. But there’s something there, something I’ve never felt for another man before.

Clinical study of psychology

This book is decent until about halfway through when it starts spending more time evaluating the mental conditions and emotional turmoil of the main characters than developing the plot.

Story
Small-town business owner Jason Brewster has big dreams: world travel, adventure, and, most of all, a passionate romance worthy of a fairy tale. But he doesn’t believe fantasies can come true until Adam moves in next door. He’s handsome, cultured, European, and, best of all, interested in Jason. It’s like something out of the stories Jason loves. But Adam - whose real name is Amadeo Montefalcone - has a secret. He's royalty, prince of the small country of Monterosia.

Too many gaps in the plot development. Characters never really develop. The narrator makes it hard to listen to. This is a definite skip...

Fall in love with both characters quickly and follow them through a story where your heart begs them to stay young and enjoy the thrills of life. The plot is slightly predictable, but not to the distraction of the experience. a definite reread!

Story
For most of the last hundred years, Biloxi was known for its beaches, resorts, and seafood industry. But it had a darker side. It was also notorious for corruption and vice, everything from gambling, prostitution, bootleg liquor, and drugs to contract killings. The vice was controlled by small cabal of mobsters, many of them rumored to be members of the Dixie Mafia.

Story
I love him. And I’m pretty sure he loves me back...even though he’s straight. When I first met Carter King, I knew he was something special. I imagined us being together, and we are, but only as friends. Best friends! I’m trying to be cool with that, even though I know he has secrets, and there have definitely been mixed signals. I don’t want a crush to ruin what we already have. Then again, if there’s any chance that we can be together, it’s worth the risk, because Carter could be the love of my life. Or he might be the boy who breaks my heart.

Story
In a matter of seconds, my entire world changed, and it was in that moment that I stopped living and simply began to exist. In my grief, I sent a letter to the first boy I ever loved. I hoped in writing it I'd find some peace from the nightmare I was living, some solace in my anger. I didn't expect him to write back. I wasn't prepared for his words, and I certainly wasn't ready for the impact this soldier would have on my life. A deep-rooted hate transformed into friendship, and then molded into a love like I'd never known before.

Physical violence and emotional pain
Reviewed: 09-17-17
Not a typical romance. More focus on the emotional impact of war and death than on romance. Just be prepared for rather graphic (violence) scenes.
