Is just like the last! The most dynamic main character who really at times can be a protagonist, quickly a hero and just down to the bone original. If you enjoy murder, police, with a little romance but a series where you really get to know characters this series is for you!

Story
Louie Cogburn had spent three days holed up in his apartment, staring at his computer screen. His pounding headache was unbearable - like spikes drilling into his brain. And it was getting worse. Finally, when someone knocked at his door, Louie picked up a baseball bat, opened the door, and started swinging... The first cop on the scene fired his stunner twice and Louie died instantly. Detective Eve Dallas has taken over the investigation, but there's nothing to explain the man's sudden rage or death.

Amazing Series
Reviewed: 03-09-24
In the thousands of books I have read in my life, I have never come across a character like Eve Dallas! The complexity is mind-boggling. One book you love her, next one she pulls you to the border of frustration so intense you contemplate turning it off, an instant later it switches to admiration and next chapter you are wondering if it’s her or Roarke that keeps you moving to the next book. Great series, from Eve to Roarke to Peabody and Somerset; Phinny and McNabb even Chief Tibble…you stick!

Nora Roberts - Enough Said
Reviewed: 08-08-19
Another great story by one of the best in the business! Loved Zane as a kid and man & Darby, Emily, Lee, Brit, Tracy...laughter and heartbreaking...in this world people do awful, ugly, vile, things to others...a layer is added when those things are by the actions of a person who is supposed to love and protect you. Zane & Brit by their parents, Darby & Tracy by their husbands. There is also the contrast of Zane & Clint (Tracy’s Husband) - Zane’s perseverance, he didn’t allow himself to become his father/mother no matter how bad the abuse was, not even when it took his dream...and Clint’s “like father like son,” he carried his childhood into his marriage to Tracy.
Then there is Darby - what a strong woman character - Emily the strong woman supporting character...Lee and so many more
Another home run by Nora Roberts & Zane would agree!

Story
Lucy Hutton has always been certain that the nice girl can get the corner office. She's charming and accommodating and prides herself on being loved by everyone at Bexley & Gamin. Everyone except for coldly efficient, impeccably attired, physically intimidating Joshua Templeman. And the feeling is mutual. Trapped in a shared office together 40 (ok, 50 or 60) hours a week, they've become entrenched in an addictive, ridiculous never-ending game of one-upmanship.
