Story
After Lucy is found wandering the streets, covered in her best friend Savvy’s blood, everyone thinks she is a murderer. Lucy and Savvy were the golden girls of their small Texas town: pretty, smart, and enviable. Lucy married a dream guy with a big ring and an even bigger new home. Savvy was the social butterfly loved by all, and if you believe the rumors, especially popular with the men in town. It’s been years since that horrible night, a night Lucy can’t remember anything about, and she has since moved to LA and started a new life.

Loved this book! Definitely enjoyed listening with a female and male reader for the respective parts. It carries the story along, which is well thought out and entertaining as the plot unfolds itself.

Story
Never in my 40 years did I think my new normal would be gluing body parts back onto ghosts and hosting a houseful of dead squatters. Thank God for superglue and a strong stomach. Never thought I’d date the Grim Reaper and that I would be the one to blow it. I mean, how idiotic does one have to be to get dumped by a dude who lives in Hell? Going about business as usual is not usual in any way. No one is who they seem to be...and to be honest, neither am I. What I’d known to be true has turned out to be myth. The angels are frightening, and the demons are hot.

This series is hysterical! I love Daisy a little more with each book. Being midlife myself, it’s refreshing to have a series featuring a midlife heroine. Her life is every range of emotions from downright depressing to laugh til you pee your pants. Jumping right into book 3.

Story
Thirty-nine was a fantastic year. I was married to the man I loved. I had a body that worked without creaking. My grandma, who raised me, was still healthy, and life was pretty damned good. But as they say, all good things come to an end. One year later, I’m a widow. My joints are starting to ache. Gram is in the nursing home, and dead people think my home is some kind of supernatural bed-and-breakfast. Gluing body parts onto semi-transparent people has become a side job - deceased people I’m not even sure are actually there.

Story
No one survived the last battle unscathed. Flint is angry at the world, Jaxon is turning into something I don't recognize, and Hudson has put up a wall I'm not sure I'll ever break through. Now war is coming, and we're not ready. We're going to need an army to have any hope of winning. But first, there are questions about my ancestors that need answers. Answers that might just reveal who the real monster is among us. And that's saying something in a world filled with bloodthirsty vampires, immortal gargoyles, and an ancient battle between two gods.

I truly enjoy the plot of these books. Grace’s attitudes are a bit much sometimes, but fortunately, not enough to take away from the full story. The quirky humor and so bad jokes among the characters keep it from being too heavy.

Story
My whole world changed when I stepped inside the academy. Nothing is right about this place or the other students in it. Here I am, a mere mortal among gods...or monsters. I still can't decide which of these warring factions I belong to, if I belong at all. I only know the one thing that unites them is their hatred of me. Then there's Jaxon Vega. A vampire with deadly secrets who hasn't felt anything for a hundred years.

Hot vampire guys-yes! I’m a sucker for a good vampire story. Twilight inspired with just a hint of TruBlood and a magic castle in the middle of nowhere. Quirky, humorous, fun but complicated romance. All the things for a really good YA story.

In this heartwarming, suspenseful, and hilarious novel, Callahan Garrity and the outrageous band of "girls" in her Atlanta cleaning crew join together during the Christmas rush to prove that her trailer-trash brother didn't kill his even trashier estranged wife.

I am typically what you would call a ‘dead sleeper’. Once my head hits the pillow, I am out. Unfortunately, with the times as they are, I have had bouts of insomnia and my brain just refuses to shut down. Finding this track has helped with that. I turn it on when I’m laying down and focus on the sounds of nature. When I wake up in the middle of the night, I turn it back on and it gives my brain something to focus on. It takes me back to vacations I’ve had in WA and the beautiful memories of those times.

Dale Maharidge’s father, like many World War II veterans, never talked about “the good war”. There was just one clue to his dad’s experience as a US Marine - a portrait with a close friend that hung permanently in their home. In The Dead Drink First, Dale, now a Pulitzer Prize-winning author, recounts his 18-year quest to find and repatriate the missing remains of his dad’s buddy, Herman Walter Mulligan, 73 years after he was killed in action.
