Story
Rick Bettua should be dead. Many times over. The retired US Navy master diver suffered a devastating attack by a 12-foot bull shark that shredded his thigh from his knee to his hip. By the time he reached the shore 90 minutes later, he’d bled out, he had no pulse and wasn’t breathing. Yet, emergency medical workers didn’t give up. His miraculous recovery in late 2020 was just the most recent of his numerous underwater life-and-death experiences.

Very meh, compared against most books the series.
Reviewed: 08-11-19
This feels like a young 20 something female ghost writer took over the series. The story telling style and level of detail was not there. There was an attempt at humor a few times but it was very superficial and not at all like the other books. I know Larry Correia's name is on this with Sarah Hoyt but it would not surprise me to find she wrote 80% of the story and took over editing. It's ok and not giving it a 2 star because the story was decent, just very let down after all the side projects waiting on a true monster hunter book to get ultimately another side project book. Larry please go back to the original recipe.

Eh.....not as good as his last book

it is very discombobulated and rambling. It jumps around a lot. there is a good history story there and there is a good alternative living story there but the way he matched the two together makes it really hard to follow.

I love the Joe Ledger series but this one was kind of a disappointment. It is worth listening to to get your Joe Ledger fix butt the stories by the different authors makes it kind of choppy and leaves you a little disappointed.
