Story
Sassy, sassier, sassiest! That Brer Rabbit was the back-sassiest critter in 10 counties and it got so Brer Fox just couldn't bear it another second. So he stirred himself up a sticky, gooey Tar Baby and left it on a log for Brer Rabbit to run smack into.

Sometimes the music gets stuck in my head, which is annoying. Danny Glover does a great job, but if you are bothered by the "step and fetch" stereotype, then you won't enjoy this. I thought it was a cute story and enjoyed the performance.

Story
Take a rollicking ride through the Wild, Wild West with the original cowboy, Pecos Bill. Raised by coyotes to brave the great frontier, Pecos rides his wild mustang Widow-Maker and invents the first rough-and-tumble cattle drive. Then he mounts a runaway cyclone like a buckin' bronco to create the Great Salt Lake.

Story
Meryl Streep reads this enchanting tale by Beatrix Potter. The curious and disobedient Peter Rabbit learns that indeed he should have listened to his mother's warning about Mr. McGregor's garden. Ages five and up will appreciate why this story has captured the imaginations of children around the world for years. It comes packaged with a second story, The Tale of Mr. Jeremy Fisher, which is also read by Meryl Streep.

The backround music is humorous, it is from the 80's. I have listened to it twice so far.

Story
Born a generation apart and with very different ideas about love and family, Mariam and Laila are two women brought jarringly together by war, by loss, and by fate. As they endure the ever escalating dangers around them, in their home as well as in the streets of Kabul, they come to form a bond that makes them both sisters and mother-daughter to each other, and that will ultimately alter the course not just of their own lives but of the next generation.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I recommend this book to people who like well rounded characters.
What did you like best about this story?
Most characters in the story are developed, and they are complex and the familial relations flesh that out.
Which scene was your favorite?
The depictions of cities like Kabul and Herat throughout decades of time was also a bonus as I knew little about them and having Khaled's descriptions opened my mind to a new place, the history of pivotal events, and the culture transformation over 1970-2002 (roughly).
Who was the most memorable character of A Thousand Splendid Suns and why?
Really, most of the characters left an impression on me because their thinking processes are relatable and the interactions between them are well written.

Story
Nabeel Qureshi describes his dramatic journey from Islam to Christianity, complete with friendships, investigations, and supernatural dreams along the way. Providing an intimate window into a loving Muslim home, Qureshi shares how he developed a passion for Islam before discovering, almost against his will, evidence that Jesus rose from the dead and claimed to be God. Unable to deny the arguments but not wanting to deny his family, Qureshi's inner turmoil will challenge Christians and Muslims alike.

So glad that I learned of Nabeel's testimony

Not only is the story inspiring, God's work in Nabeel is amazing, but I learned a good bit about Islam, Muslim/American culture, and the clear cases for both Islam and Christianity. The person of Jesus Christ especially becomes beautiful after this read/audible.
