Story
Once, Jackson Rook was a war hero. Raised from boyhood to pilot an exosuit mech, he’d fought gallantly for the rebellion against the Collectivists. But that was a long time ago, on a world very far away. Now, Jackson Rook is a criminal, a smuggler on board the Multipurpose Supply Vehicle Tar Heel. His latest mission: steal a top-of-the-line mech called the Citadel and deliver it to the far-flung planet Swindle, a world so hostile even the air will kill you. The client: a man known only as the Warlord.

Story
Civil war looms in the Bobiverse in this brand-new, epic-length adventure by Audible number one best seller Dennis E. Taylor. More than a hundred years ago, Bender set out for the stars and was never heard from again. There has been no trace of him despite numerous searches by his clone-mates. Now Bob is determined to organize an expedition to learn Bender’s fate - whatever the cost. But nothing is ever simple in the Bobiverse. Bob’s descendants are out to the 24th generation now, and replicative drift has produced individuals who can barely be considered Bobs anymore.

What an adventure!

This is a must for Bobiverse fans. It's fun, eclectic, devious, diverse, just a nonstop rollercoaster of so many different story threads that do, believe it or not, get tired up at the end and teed up for the next. I wish I could erase it from memory do I could listen to if the first time again!

Hesitant, but I loved it

I was afraid this might be too much, considering current events, but I should not have worried. LMB is always exquisitely balanced.
it is a joy to see Penric growing and to see the fabric of his family and his life.

In this, the fourth installment of the Doyle and Acton mystery series, Detective Sergeant Doyle realizes that several apparently unrelated murders are actually "containment" murders - murders to contain an ominous scandal that could reach into the highest levels of Scotland Yard's CID. In the process of tracking down the killers, however, she comes to the unsettling conclusion that Chief Inspector Acton has committed a containment murder or two of his own.

Nice story, terrible audio.
Reviewed: 03-25-19
This is a new narrator and her Irish accent is not that great. It was annoying for the first few chapters and then I got used to it. The story has the usual intertwining plots with some nice character development.
However, the audio quality is awful, the worst I've ever heard. There are edits with a complete change in tone and volume and lots of skips and cut-off words. Certainly not worth the price bring charged.
