Children like order, discovery, and control. Involve them in daily activities. When you teach, be consistent and orderly. Teach and reteach the same way each time as children like consistency and order. Perceive things from the child’s perspective. Get down to their level..make changes to accommodate them. Children have a natural desire to learn and this book has lots of activities for children to do.

This book has some really great recipes that aren't your run-of-the-mill variety. I had CSA members putting Beet-Horseradish Relish on their pizza and making Saucy Sloppy Joes (with summer garden bell peppers) in January with this cookbook. I highly recommend it for its versatile yet simple recipes for the beginner, intermediate, or pro canner!
