Story
In Fate and Consequences, Georgiana Darcy does leave with George Wickham to elope. Darcy finds her in time to prevent the wedding, but not in time to stop the news of her ruin from spreading. Now a humbled man, he must try to find his and his sister's place in society. A twist of Fate introduces him at his darkest hour to the woman he otherwise might have resisted loving, and who helps him to restore his sister, and his wounded soul. This is a what-if story of love and reconciliation. This story contains scenes of a mature nature.

Basic story line was fine but way too long. The random sexual contact was rather gratuitous and repetitive. Found myself fast forwarding.

Story
Darkness, in many forms, must be conquered to emerge into the light and embrace one’s happily ever after. Fitzwilliam Darcy. Colonel Richard Fitzwilliam. Two cousins, closer than brothers. One finds love despite his inner demons; the other resists love because of them. Elizabeth Bennet. Kitty Bennet. Two sisters, strengthened by adversity. One willingly yields to love; the other pridefully misinterprets it.

I have to say that this author is definitely one of the very best when it comes to P&P variations ! Incredible imagination and full of the unexpected! It’s a rare one that I just couldn’t stop listening. The narrator was fantastic! Every voice distinctly different no matter how many characters were in the dialogue. This author and this narrator will definitely be at the top of my list. Can’t wait until his other books make on Audible!

There was no doubt that things had definitely looked better for Gabriel Atwood, one time Viscount Northwood. Mainly because everyone who knew him or of him almost certainly believed him dead—the bastard who'd betrayed him had made sure of that. His only hope was to seek aid from Nicholas Sinclair, his former mentor, now the current Duke of Blackmore, before his enemies realised that news of his demise had been greatly exaggerated.

As humiliating as an ill-bred set down was from an impertinent country miss, the veracity of Elizabeth Bennet’s arguments and the humiliation at his own lack of understanding started to sink in. After years of entrenched isolation, others would take notice if he appeared more civil. How was he to take his place in society without raising expectations? He reaches out to the one person he can trust, Colonel Fitzwilliam, who joins the party at Netherfield.

Very entertaining story! Of course Stevie Zimmerman always does an incredible job. Lots of characters but I found it very easy to follow. The myriad scene changes were very engaging and kept my attention easily. A very full and rewarding storyline. Definitely one to listen to more than once. After reading some negative comments I was pleasantly surprised that I enjoyed it so much!

I loved this variation. Lots of excitement and a completely new personality for all the character’s. Delightful! However the narrator’s interpretation was very grating. Her cadence was so strange and drawn out that the only way I could get through this book was by speeding up to 1.3. Still well worth it!
