Running faster is not the answer

As I progressed through my career, I found myself working longer hours and taking work home to do on weekends and in the evening. Being busy was the point and not being busy was losing the game. Now that I have retired, I find myself filling every hour with ‘something’ to do. Chandler shows how we can implement ‘mindfulness’ techniques to do nothing but accomplish more. Mindfulness training is not easy and you have to work at it regularly until it becomes part of who you are.

Wow! Deeply researched and clearly explained

All I knew about TikTok was what I saw on TV – kind of silly songs and dances. The author explains that there is so much more to the platform and does so with depth and clarity. Her focus is on young women entrepreneurs, but it can be useful to all of us of any age. She discusses the platform’s history, samples of success stories and how to get on and navigate the app. Then she goes into extensive detail on how to create and promote content with the intent of building a business and brand. Definitely would recommend this book and look forward to more from this author.

Why would I want to learn all the notes of my fretboard? Over my 25+ year career as a musician and guitar teacher, I have come across many guitarists who cannot name all the frets on the fretboard. Learning the guitar or music theory for that matter, with no knowledge of the basic fundamental organization of the fretboard is a bit like trying to learn to swim without getting into the water.

Great ideas for a memory challenged person like me

As a beginner I have been frustrated by 'over thinking' my lessons. Nick gives me solid practical ideas that I can try out - no tricks or weird workarounds. The PDF guide works with the narration to lead you thru the exercises which works for me since I a bit visual in my learning. He also pointed me to his video work online which is definitely a bonus. Thank you very much.
