Story
The Manipulator. I can manipulate the emotions of anyone who lets me. I will make you hurt, make you cry, make you laugh and sigh. But my words don't affect him. Especially not when I plead for him to leave. He's always there, watching and waiting. And I can never look away. Not when I want him to come closer. The Shadow. I didn't mean to fall in love. But now that I have, I can't stay away. I'm mesmerized by her smile, by her eyes, and the way she moves. I'll keep watching and waiting. Until I can make her mine. And once she is, I'll never let her go.

Loved the story line but the main character was so self centered
Reviewed: 07-15-23
Main character was so wrapped up in herself that she ignored any and all facts. She was incredibly hypocritical, Whinny, wishy washy and not relatable at all. She seemed more 14 than an adult. The story was very enthralling so much that I tried to keep reading despite her.

Story
When my best friend Aubrey asked me to tag along to an event with her, I never could have imagined that it would be the day that my life changed forever. He's arrogant and demanding and doesn't take a hint. Landon Barker, the quarterback for the Hermosa Beach Trojans, is a player on and off of the field. He's got his sights set on me as his next play, but I see right through him. Aubrey says I'm overreacting, that I should give him a chance. What she doesn't realize is men like Landon don't fall for the girl next door.

Good story

This book has a lot of inconsistencies.
Example: Emma says she owns the house and that it isn’t much but it’s hers. Then later on in the story talks about how she cannot have pets because the landlord doesn’t allow it. At the end they talk about how they listed her house. Just a lot of little inconsistencies throughout the story

If you want a feel good fluff story this is it. I enjoyed listening to it because it was written very well. However the narrator was annoying and made the man sound whinny.

Slightly disappointed but still a must read
Reviewed: 02-27-20
I am slightly disappointed. I loved Williams character through the whole series and was excited for this book. However I think he gave into the life mate magic or whatever you call it too easily. Plus I feel like he was too sentimental about EVERYTHING and I do mean everything. His personality seemed to change he wasn’t as cocky and quirky as usual. I also wish there was more of an interaction with other characters from previous books. Overall I liked this book. But it was not my favorite in the series.

Love this series. I have some major issues with this story though. There are gaps in the story line. Huge ones!! First off is the fact that after waking up Circe does nothing to try and figure out why she is in a strange land just accepts it. Second is the fact that she realizes how she got to this world randomly and in the middle of a thought about something else. The third is she had ultrasounds how did they not realize there were two babies?!
