Story
Part-time clown Amelia White has a detailed list of traits and accomplishments that make for her perfect man and she won't marry anyone lacking even one of them. Perhaps that's why she's nearly thirty and still unmarried. Always a bridesmaid, never a bride seems to apply to both her and her roommate, until Stacy announces her upcoming and unexpected wedding. Now Amelia is feeling like an old maid of honor.

Cute, Fun Story

The narrator almost ruined it for me, but I got used to her. The story was a bit cheesy, but cute. Nice easy listen.

Story
Receptionist Pam Beesly and accountant Angela Martin had very little in common when they toiled together at Scranton’s Dunder Mifflin Paper Company. But, in reality, the two bonded in their very first days on set and, over the nine seasons of the series’ run, built a friendship that transcended the show and continues to this day.

Sooo slow and boring
Reviewed: 03-18-22
After the first two amazing books in this series, I was waiting with great anticipation for the release of this third book. Imagine my disappointment as this book felt like a school assignment I had to get through. It took forever to even get into the story. Then when I did it was soo boring and slow to develop. Ugh, the new characters were also boring and I felt no sense of attachment to them at all. I missed the interactions of Spensa with her friends and all that went with that. 90% of this book felt like The Grapes Of Wrath where we read endlessly about how dusty and dry the landscape was. Awful, just awful and such a disappointment. and the ending sucked!! I was like, what the?! That's IT?! I loved the other books but this one fell flat. So unfortunate.

Loved the story, narrator was meh
Reviewed: 03-07-21
I really enjoyed the inventiveness, twists and turns and overall feel of the story. the narrator's different voices left much to be desired. Especially when he tried to do a female voice. it was terrible and distracting. had it not been for the story itself I may have stopped listening. the 2 main characters voices were great. Sam's voice was so unrealistic and stupid it drove me crazy. Still, very good listen. there is a bit of swearing, which i don't like at all, but it's not too bad.

Interesting, but got boring and a little preachy
Reviewed: 01-15-21
I did enjoy the book more than I thought I would. I don't agree with other reviewers that it was all complaining and negative. It really opened my eyes to what nurses go through. My sister has been a nurse for 25 years and this book just made me appreciate her even more. There is a little bit of language I didn't care for, but they were direct quotes from Nurses, so I let it slide. All in all it was good... I do wish more time was spent on the individual Nurses stories and not so much on the profession and statistics and studies. There was a lot of that. Thank you to all Nurses!

Story
A perfect blend of medical drama and spiritual insight, Gray Matter is a fascinating account of Dr. David Levy's decision to begin asking his patients if he could pray for them before surgery. Some are thrilled. Some are skeptical. Some are hostile, and some are quite literally transformed by the request.

Faith building

A bit slow going at times, but very well written and performed. as a Christian myself I appreciated the stories of patients who were able to forgive, become closer to God, or just have more peace during their illness and recovery. it was not preachy at all.; true stories of real life. It strengthened my own faith and testimony that God is in the details of our lives.
