Story
Hockey coach Ashley Jaswal doesn't take nonsense from anyone … except her overbearing and superstitious family. They believe she's a good luck charm for her brother Jas, the newest Vancouver Canucks draft pick, forcing Ash to attend all his games as he rises up the NHL ranks, sacrificing her personal life (not that she has one—who decided hockey season needed to be 10 months long anyway?). Ash also clashes with Jas’s teammate, Canucks captain Devin Snyder.

Great narration! I needed to hear this story! A light hearted read but also gives encouragement to love yourself enough to put yourself first. Real life insecurities and courage to do what’s best for yourself. Courage to overcome traditions and culture beliefs that are harmful for a person’s self worth. Great characters. Great story all around. Definitely recommend.

Fun, clean story with realistic plot. Narrator did a great job. Easy listening with a great HEA. Heroine personality was fun and lovable. She can stand on her own and stayed true to herself.

Not a clean read but moderate and love scenes aren’t drawn out. The story is very well crafted and worth every minute. Some twists I didn’t see coming and everything leading to a great ending. Learn from your past and make the best of a second chance! A do over I’m sure many of us would like to have in life.

Everyone has three lives. A public life, a private life, and a secret life. I'm a junior in high school, and yet, I've never been on a date. Everybody says it's because my overprotective brothers scare all the guys away, but I can't help wondering if there's something wrong with me. HEA with angst and real life
Reviewed: 06-29-24
Love the characters and how this series is developing! The narration is good but something’s the dialogue isn’t quite unique enough for the various characters to tell the change in who is talking. But the Story gets you so engulfed in the characters that the narration flaws aren’t really noticeable. This is definitely a great book to listen to and is a good reminder that not all high school boys treat girls with respect.

When my math tutor made me sign a contract promising I wouldn't fall in love with him, I thought he was joking. He wasn't. Yes, Carter Hastings is the prince of Eden Falls Academy—one of the most beautiful humans on earth—and boy, does he know it. But I can use this to my advantage. Since I basically signed a paper saying I'd never catch feelings for him, it makes my plan even more perfect. So I offer him a deal: a fake relationship.

Author, Judy does it again. Real life problems and a story with heart. Twists that you won’t think the author will do but not too intense. I love this new series and group of friends. Great start and a brilliant way of introducing this group of characters and new world. The male narrator didn’t do very well at distinguishing between other male characters in dialogue.

AI voice was OK but not much expression. Also needs a change in tone to differentiate between male and female characters: all the same makes it difficult to tell when dialogue changes people.
The story was cute but a little too “churchy”. Too quick for the end and the conflict wasn’t very effective.

I thought I was strong enough to go along with the plan. Fake dating heart throb Cayden Rivers seemed simple enough. Apparently not. I am just trying to survive. Spending the summer with my loosey-goosey Dad in Hollywood, CA is just enough to send my OCD tendencies into hyperdrive. But Mom thinks it's good for me. And my best friend Michelle has agreed to come along.

My plan was perfect: convince my best friend and school quarterback, Ethan, to be the final prize for my matchmaking test where the proceeds go to sending the band to Paris. Plus, if it matches me with my lifelong crush, that's a bonus, right? What could go wrong? Apparently, a lot. First, the test matches me and Ethan. Which is easy to explain. Computers make mistakes all the time, right? Second, the girl I switch myself for seems perfect for Ethan. Maybe a bit too perfect. Third, my date with my crush goes horribly wrong, and my first kiss tanks.

Great story! Fall in love with the characters. You’ll want to scream when she keeps making stupid decisions and won’t realize her love is right in front of her. Author does a great job at bringing the characters to life and subtly producing a reader that sheds a few tears.
