About this listen
She was traded to him for a weapon.
Traded, as if she was no better than a piece of property. Gova Dov doesn’t know what to expect, but it can’t be as bad as the abuse she’d received at the hands of her last master. Gova has never known kindness like Muam. She soon learns she can trust him, but can he trust someone like her? He’s told her she’s free to leave, but does she want to go? Does he even want her to stay?
Muam Kai works hard to earn his living, and payment in flesh won’t exactly buy his next meal, but he can’t turn the abused girl away. However, he’s no slave owner.
When Gova’s past comes back for her, Muam vows that no matter what happens to them, they will always have each other. Always find each other. In this life or the next.
It's a dying promise that would prove to be a curse on them both.

Ten years ago, I messed up. I pushed the one thing I loved the most away. I watched her run as far as she could. I ruined the love we had. I threw myself into the Marines, thinking I could get her out of my system. That didn't work. When I came back, I got the worst news ever. Or so I thought. Now, I'm forced to keep a promise I made and find the one girl that stole my heart.

Two stones changed the course of history before; it’s time for a repeat performance...It’s a discovery of the modern age for archaeologists, Tim Adams and Evelyn Davidson, when they find two tablets in the shadows of the Great Pyramids at Giza. It’s a sign of the times...What they dust off these ancient relics is the basis of quickly unravelling governments and religions. To slot the pieces of this complicated puzzle together, Tim and Evelyn must travel back to antiquity itself, where religion and law went hand in hand.

Story
When Phoebe, goddess of the moon, is killed by the knights of the sun god, Hyperion, all who follow her are branded heretics. With Phoebe gone, the souls of the dead are no longer ferried to the underworld, and instead linger on as shades who feast on the blood of the living. Raef is a child of the night. He lives in the shadows, on scraps, eking out a meager existence as a thief. But when an ornate box is sequestered in the Temple of Hyperion, the chance of a big score proves too great to resist. What he finds within propels him on an odyssey across the sea and back again.

Seventeen-year-old Aderyn ("Ryn") only cares about two things: her family and her family's graveyard. And right now, both are in dire straits. Since the death of their parents, Ryn and her siblings have been scraping together a meager existence as gravediggers in the remote village of Colbren, which sits at the foot of a harsh and deadly mountain range that was once home to the fae. Working out in the fields during the attack, Huxley returns too late. His daughter has been taken, and his wife is bleeding out, her last whispered words about a man with a scorpion tattoo on his neck. Where do the slavers go? Huxley has no idea. Story
I have a secret. A secret that chased me away from my home, my family, away from the only man I've ever loved. I took that secret and pushed it down inside of me.So far down, that it never had a chance of coming out. That dirty little secret was like a seed. A seed that took root and grew to become a piece of me. But what happens when that secret has finally outgrown me? When its vines climb over every wall I have in place? When it finally overfills that little spot inside of me that it's been buried in for so long now? All secrets come out eventually.

Meet the men of the rock band, Trained in Black. "Our someday will come soon, Joslyn." Those words were the last words I heard from Roman Nixon before I walked away. I knew our someday might come, but not the one he and I had always dreamed about. His life headed in one direction, mine in the other. While Roman became the lead singer for the successful rock band Trained in Black, I became a ruthless attorney. He moved on and married someone else. As I was forced to observe him and his bride on the cover of every magazine out there, I deserved to suffer because of what I had done.

They're an iconic part of history's most celebrated birth. But what do we really know about the Three Kings of the Nativity, besides the fact that they followed a star to Bethlehem bearing strange gifts? The Bible has little to say about this enigmatic trio. But leave it to Seth Grahame-Smith, the brilliant and twisted mind behind Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter and Pride and Prejudice and Zombies to take a little mystery, bend a little history, and weave an epic tale.

Story
When we arrived at the compound, we believed we had found our safe haven at last. For the briefest of moments, their medicine and science lulled us into a false sense of security. But within the bowels of this haven, where the cure for Nevermore is being developed, there lurks an evil that is far worse than anything we've already encountered. Sebastian is used as a test subject, a process that, instead of curing him, is slowly killing him. As his heart falters, mine must draw upon new strength if I am to fight our way out of the compound.

Mooney's storytelling is truly remarkable
Mooney's storytelling is truly remarkable, drawing listeners into a complex and intriguing world where Gova Dov is traded like a commodity, and Muam Kai shows her a kindness she's never known before. The world-building is richly detailed, with vivid descriptions and nuanced characters that kept me engaged throughout the story.
But it is Martin Landry's narration that truly brought the story to life for me. His expressive voice and impeccable pacing made it easy to follow the story, and his ability to convey a wide range of emotions truly made the characters come alive. I was particularly impressed by the way he captured Gova's vulnerability and Muam's strength, bringing both characters to life in a way that felt authentic and deeply moving.
Overall, "1000 of You" is an exceptional audiobook that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a captivating story and excellent narration. With a powerful story and outstanding narration, this audiobook deserves a solid 5-star rating. If you're looking for a gripping story with unforgettable characters, look no further than "1000 of You".

Landry's voice is clear and easy to listen to
I recently listened to the audiobook "1000 of You" by Linda Mooney, narrated by Martin Landry, and I was blown away by both the gripping story and the excellent narration.
What really made this audiobook shine, though, was Martin Landry's narration. His performance was simply outstanding. Landry's voice is clear and easy to listen to, and he does an excellent job of capturing the emotions of each character, bringing them to life in a way that felt authentic and nuanced. I was particularly impressed by the way he conveyed the vulnerability and strength of both Gova and Muam.
