About this listen

An anthology with 14 stories.

These short stories can make you shiver and sit on the edge of your seat. Some humorous anecdotes and some interesting plot twists are integrated, and the main theme of most of them is zombies.

Get ready to hear about murdered victims, girls who interact with ghosts, zombie apocalypse killing sprees, lost tragedies, confused monsters, and creatures from the deep. None of these stories are directly related, which makes it a fun combo to buy, to get more plot material for less money.

I love the stories so far. I haven't listened to the whole thing yet, but I can't imagine it getting much worse. The author clearly has put some great content together. They're not really gross of too scary, but there is always a dark twist to it. Most of them have a fairly happy ending. So it's not that bad.

This is really good

The stories in this book were scary at times, definitely some suspense, ghosts... yes, monsters, yes, that too. But I wouldn't say they were Stephen King's cousin's writing. So here is the thing: If you're into something that skips the blood and gore and the disgust of the dreadful endings, then this is it. If you're looking for abuse, trauma, ligaments flying all over the place and Chucky murders, then this is not it.

Saying that, hopefully this was helpful. As for me, I really liked them.

Not to horrific, very light

Nice stories. The twist ending in the plot at the end was what I liked most. Interesting thing about the killer bunny. I didn't expect that one. Also, the digger was an interesting story. (I forgot the title). Recommended.

Very good

It was painful to listen to this as far as I have. I am not sure how this received as many good reviews as it has. The narration was hard to listen to and the story lines were childish.

Not a good listen at all

I really hated everything about this book. It was a complete disappointed. I think this book is meant for a child. It is certainly read that way

I really wanted to like this anthology but was severely disappointed. I couldn’t even finish the first two stories. Boring and simpleton-like stories and reading. Very let down and feel like I wasted my money.

This was painful to listen to. The writing was terrible and the narration was worse!

The worst! I would give it zero stars if possible.

This is not to say the story ideas are bad, Personally I liked the premise of the first story enough to keep listening even when it became clear that the author has had no training or feedback for her writing.. But eventually my patience ran out.

Rachel, you have good potential as an author, but you make dozens of writing mistakes, many of which I recognize because I've been there and have made them, too.. Don't give up and don't this critique discourage you from writing.

Please seek out an author's group to help you develop your skills. In a a few years I'll check out another book of yours to see how you've progressed. Good luck!
