Publisher's summary

Brace yourself. You will begin to listen to all kinds of stories, from zombie-killing individuals to spooky warnings from ghosts. Most of these are not heavy, gory horror stories but lightly sprinkled humorous ones with casual plot twists that most people will enjoy. Murder is definitely one of the main themes as is survival in a post-apocalyptic era. Ghosts and beasts in different forms will adorn the elements of these psychological and action-packed stories.

Cool

I like anthologies like this for the simple reason that they are high-paced and it feels like a movie. The thing with so many stories nowadays is that they endlessly describe what a tree looks like, instead of getting to the point and moving on with the story. If that's you'r thing, don't get this one. If you like the fast pace, like I do, then go for it. This contains uhm... was it 12 or 13 horror, ghost, and zombie stories? Yeah, something like that.

This is a fun anthology with some serious mysteries in it. There are ghosts, zombie apocalypse stories... and well, I guess you could have noticed that from the subtitle. I don't have to say much else about it. I mean, what is there to say about it when you can listen to a sample and also check out the contents on Kindle or something like that?

Needless to say, judging by the 5 stars I gave it, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you, narrator, and thank you, author.

Excellent

This is an excellent book for people who like horror stories. Personally, I think the picture on the front cover resembles the corpse that the digger found in the ground or something (spoiler alert). But other than that, there are ghost stories, there is some tension, but I didn't find any descriptions of blood and gore. Everything was more so about monsters and puzzles. And actually, that's the kind of thing I like.

The narrator? Yes, did a great job. Thanks. Very professional, in my opinion.

Poor narration

How did this get such high reviews? Disappointing. Don't waste a credit on this turd.

Couldn't finish

Got through the first story which was a struggle. Couldn't finish the second. Amateur writing and strange word choices. The reader was pretty good though.

Not Horror, Not Even Good

I couldn't even finish the first story (a Minecraft fanfic). The writing felt very 'English as a second language', which isn't a deal breaker by itself; but when a horror anthology leads in with a story about a haunted golden pickax where nothing even really *happens*, you know it's not going to get much better. Can't fault the reader, I get the feeling she was doing her best with the material she had.

TL;DR: This book isn't worth your credit, much less your money.

Could have been written by a middle school child...

Ok - I’ll apologize to the middle schoolers out there. Got through the first few chapters and had to give up. Even with Halloween just twenty days away and a margarita before me as I sit outside in the dark I can’t suffer this tripe. Yikes! Bought it an hour ago - can’t return it fast enough!

Sophomoric and Extemely Predictable

I did not enjoy anything about this book. The narrator's voice was grating and her character "voices" were laughable. The text itself was amazingly idiotic. I just kept picturing the author with a pen in their mouth trying to think up big words and quips. Whomever edited this should probably be fired.
