Creepypasta Edited this. Read the title folks!

I enjoy Mr Creepypasta's narrative style as much as many do. For that, I turn to Jack Townsend's books They're an incredible series brought to life by CP's self taught abilities. I chose to get this book because CP picked the stories, as he does on his podcast. I fully believe that each story stands, or doesn't, on its own merits BUT they are not made ANY less by the cast chosen to narrate them. What one man does, he chose the voices of multiple people to do for him. I believe he has good taste. I liked most of the stories. I enjoyed All of the narrators. I think this anthology works better for his choice not to narrate the different author's creations, but rather to curate a selection of stories he would like to listen to. I believe if you approach this anthology with THAT type of mindset, you'll enjoy a LOT more than simply pouting over what never was.

Not Creepy As The Pasta I've eaten

Love the male narrative, I can clearly hear him through Chicago Traffic and Trains noise. The female narrative is harder to hear through the sounds of the city. I even put my phone in a cup to create an echo effort to make her voice louder. it's that raspy throat sound that can't be elevated. None of the stories kept me up at night. I would listen on the late night drives back to the suburbs and would fall right to sleep as soon as I completed my routine.

Not as scary as I had hoped

I enjoyed the stories overall but hoped for nightmare fuel. Some stories are better than others.

Yikes!

I'm a big fan of the horror genre, so I'm no stranger to storytellers trying to give me a good scare. And still, some of these stories had me jumping at shadows.

One of them was a bit too gruesome for my liking, at least as a narrated piece. I had to skip that chapter and later find it online. Even in written word, I was still left a little queasy. But everyone has their own tolerance for gore.

Altogether, as a compilation I found it entertaining and spooky! Perfect for the Halloween season.

Good Short Stories

I enjoyed this book. I think that it has a lot of good short stories in the vein of campfire ghost stories. I didn't think any of the stories were scary, but more along the lines of creepy and interesting. But I am definitely desensitized to horror as I've been a huge horror fan since I was knee high to a grasshopper.
Some of the stories do just abruptly end, but some of them have such a great foundation to them that they could have been (or be) their own book or movie if the author(s) had put more effort and work into them.

I really enjoyed the narrators and thought that they did an excellent job with these stories.

All in all, I would say it's a good book and worth a listen. Just be aware of what you are getting. Creepy, not scary and short (sometimes very short) stories.

Overall, very fun and creepy!

Some of the Stories Dr., Don, a little too long, and I think it could’ve helped to have a different narrator write off so that they didn’t carry on from one story to the next, because got a little convoluted. Otherwise, very fun to listen to, and made my imagination run wild. :-)

Creepy!

Super good creepy stories. I would listen to these super early going into work and I would actually be scared. Great to listen too for anyone who loves scary/gorey/sci-fi stories
