About this listen

Size does matter in these delightfully tiny tales populated with narcoleptic drivers, bickering backers, suspicious spouses, and other memorable characters. Full of dark humor, intrigue, and absurdity, this collection of slightly sinister (and occasionally sweet) stories delivers a bite-size listening experience to satisfy any literary craving.

Two dueling narrators give their own dramatic twist to the audiobook version of these darkly amusing tales.

What a great surprise to find this! I was just trying out some of the search features and clicked through to this. It's what it says on the tin: slightly sinister flash fiction. I don't know what the hard copy looks like, but in my imagination it would be about the size of a picture book, with each spread one of the 55-word stories, and the illustrations are all by Edward Gorey.

As of this writing, it's in the Plus Catalog. Each story is about 30 seconds long. It's cute and smart and I hope Mourtada keeps writing.

Dark and funny!
