Publisher's summary
Wall Street has brainwashed both of us.... It's brainwashed you into thinking that you need to beat the stock market to achieve your financial goals. Is it a coincidence that to do this, you need to pay for advice and brokerage fees from those same Wall Street firms?
Wall Street has also brainwashed investment analysts like me. We're made to believe that everyone needs our advice and that advice needs to be a complicated investing strategy of timing and trading.
It was only when I got off Wall Street and onto main street that I realized the truth. Spend enough time with real investors and you realize they just want a simple investing strategy that will help reach their financial goals. They want it laid out in a way that's easy to follow, and they don't want to lose sleep every night worrying about their money.
That's what this book is about!
This book is the first in a series of four, outlining a step-by-step process for a simple investing strategy. This book will get you started in what investing is really about and how to build an investing plan that's right for your goals.

But even a maverick plays by rules, and Trump has formulated time-tested guidelines for success. He isolates the common elements in his greatest accomplishments; he shatters myths; he names names, spells out the zeros, and fully reveals the deal-maker's art. Money - investing, personal finance, and business decisions - is typically taught as a math-based field, where data and formulas tell us exactly what to do. But in the real world people don’t make financial decisions on a spreadsheet. They make them at the dinner table, or in a meeting room, where personal history, your own unique view of the world, ego, pride, marketing, and odd incentives are scrambled together. In The Psychology of Money, award-winning author Morgan Housel shares 19 short stories exploring the strange ways people think about money.

Good information-Horrible reader
The information was useful for a beginning investor but the author should have let someone else read his book. Constantly mispronouncing words, stopping mid sentence, etc. I'm surprised he didn't edit his many mistakes. Makes listening very difficult.

Mediocre
Not impressed. Very high level book. I am not sure who the target audience was. Too high level for beginners and nothing detailed for seasoned investors.
