Story
When Edmund Hillary first conquered Mt. Everest, Sherpa Tenzing Norgay was at his side. Indeed, for as long as Westerners have been climbing the Himalaya, Sherpas have been the unsung heroes in the background. In August 2008, when eleven climbers lost their lives on K2, the world’s most dangerous peak, two Sherpas survived. They had emerged from poverty and political turmoil to become two of the most skillful mountaineers on earth. Based on unprecedented access and interviews, Buried in the Sky reveals their astonishing story for the first time.

good information with multiple perspectives
I enjoyed hearing about places I had never considered. I'm thinking harder about language barriers and how to deal with that. I'm looking forward to exploring more now that I've listened to this audio book.

Must Read for Future Expats
Fascinating and entertaining book discussing the wealth of offshore living options available to anyone with that special sense of adventure that might cause them to pursue such a living arrangement. My favorite chapters are the country by country discussions. Even for those countries I have no interest in living, his insights on both the benefits and drawbacks of each location provide interesting and informative background.
Highly recommended!

A must read for any potential expat.
A fantastic start to your expat journey starts with this book.
As someone who already started traveling, but has not settled on a specific location yet, this book has opened my eyes to more possible homes than O imagined.
And plus, who doesn't want to live a good life for less?

Best Relocation Book
I’ve read several books on relocation, & this is the best one I’ve found so far. The reader is outstanding, talks like he’s having a conversation with you—the one oddity I noticed is how he pronounces “bilingual” but it’s not a major detractor.
I like the author’s blunt honesty about the pros & cons of various countries & regions, many of which I honestly would have never in a million years considered, before reading this book.
Definitely recommended, in combination with other sources of course, on any place you’re considering moving to. I plan to follow this author’s blog & website, to keep abreast of the most recent info. Looking forward to any new editions of this book he might write too!
