About this listen

As Miss Marple sat basking in the Caribbean sunshine, she felt mildly discontented with life. True, the warmth eased her rheumatism, but here in paradise nothing ever happened. Eventually, her interest was aroused by an old soldier's yarn about a strange coincidence.

Infuriatingly, just as he was about to show her an astonishing photograph, the Major's attention wandered. He never did finish the story.... June Whitfield stars as the sharp-witted spinster sleuth in a BBC Radio 4 full-cast dramatisation.

Love the Dramatised Versions

Any additional comments?

These dramatised are great for driving. They don't require much focus. I love June Whitfield as Miss Marple - she shines!

Thoroughly enjoyable

Clear and expressive voices. Nice sound effects and background noises to create the setting. Good pace.

Miss Maple is the best!

June Whitfield is right up there with Joan Hickson as my favorite Marple. Excellent dramatization!

Splendid

was totally enjoyable, I felt I was watching the film itself. One can get so caught up trying to solve the case like in the series itself.
