The actors drew me into the stories, and the drama was well done. Unfortunately, the stories they tell aren't intriguing and I soon tired of the book.

Great narrators, boring stories

The performances are stellar, typical BBC professionalism. The dramatized stories are BASED on previous Christie short stories that are entirely modernized and re-set in new times and situations. Two are NOT mysteries; instead the are of the occult, given Christie’s penchant for the supernatural in addition to her strict mysteries. Frankly, people need to READ the description before they spew baseless complaints. Had they read the description of this audiobook, then they would not have been disillusioned. It’s their own fault.

Re-worked Christie stories. 2 NOT mysteries.

Maybe this was mentioned in other reviews and I missed it, but I don't like that the stories were transposed to modern times. Wasn't necessary, and in several it detached from or involved a drastic change in the story

Meh

I love Agatha Christie’s work and have quite a few titles by her in my library. I’m a huge fan of dramatizations/performances, but this one missed the mark. The performance itself was fine, but I didn’t enjoy the “modernized” versions. The words “computer”, “mobile phone”, and “dot com” shouldn’t exist in the vocabulary of a Christie story. Disappointed. Returned after listening to the first chapter.

“Modernized” 😦

I had only heard one of the stories before. They varied from drama to comedy to supernatural. Most were not murder mysteries but I enjoyed them all.

New Stories. Well Performed.

More ghost story & fantasy than mystery. But enjoyable in their own right. Worth a listen.

Different Christie

Agatha Christie never disappoints. And production was superb! High recommended for a lazy rainy day.

Great fun!
