Publisher's summary

Only with the magic of a Marietta Christmas will Daisy melt her adoptive dad’s snow-covered heart

Media mogul Cormac Sheenan had no desire to become a family man, but his newly-adopted goddaughter Daisy has a way of changing all his rules, including him moving back to Marietta, Montana, where life is simpler and he has family nearby.

Now four, precocious Daisy strikes up an unlikely friendship with Marietta’s seasonal Santa Claus, and believes he’s the real thing, even though Cormac points out to her that this jolly old Kris Kringle is renting a room at Bramble House, not living at the North Pole. Daisy’s not worried; she’s made her Christmas wish for "a new mommy" loud and clear—and she's got the perfect candidate in mind.

Cormac is livid with ole fake Santa. He’s not at all ready to settle down, and he’s definitely not getting back together with his old flame Whitney Alder, so Santa can stop playing playing the whimsical match-maker…besides, it’d take a miracle to make him fall in love.

Cute

I liked Cormac’s story but there was some back story left unanswered. Why didn’t Whitney ever mention her family? Why didn’t she get named as guardian? What was Cormac’s relationship with Daisy’s father?
All in all, a sweet Christmas story with a touch of Christmas magic.

predictable

well written better read. still just like something I'd watch on LMN if I ever watched that channel, which I don't, because it's all unrealistic.

A Christmas Miracle for Daisy

It was a nice fairytale Christmas story.. A second chance after her heart was broken twice by a very selfish man. A man who changed after 4 years. A very intelligent busy woman used to to having a career that seemed to be a dream career decided she no longer needed anything other than stay at home to be a full time mother for a man that screwed her over several times. Why do romance stories always have the woman be smart Capable, give all career aspirations up for a man. This stereotype women constantly read is part of reason women are not assertive enough and are screwed over constantly

good,...however

Its a good cute story, however the narrator leaves a lot to be desired. sorry. There's not much note between characters. She doesn't change her voice much so you can't really tell who's speaking. Also, she has a lilt to her voice that's the same throughout, so when she's narrating vs. speaking in character there's no difference in voices, i.e. Male and child characters. This would have been such a better story with a different narrator.
