About this listen

Her family legacy is at stake.

Will the new man in town save it—or destroy it?

As the fourth-generation editor of the Oak Hill Gazette, Abby Warner is determined to carry on the paper’s proud tradition despite increasing financial problems. But big-city publishing heir Mark Campbell wants to take the paper away from her—as fast as possible. In a situation rife with tension, sparks fly.

Yet when Mark finds a new purpose for his life in the podunk town he derided, and Abby begins to realize there’s more to the playboy heir than she first thought, sparks of a different kind start to fly.

As major changes loom, can these two people from different backgrounds open their hearts to each other and find the courage to embrace the unexpected opportunities that have graced their lives?

In this small-town-America story, bestselling author Irene Hannon pens an inspiring tale about embracing change and finding silver linings.

Irene Hannon did it again! Midwest America, typical families with everyday struggles, a story to relate to and connect with.

Plot Twister

The narration was wonderful (as Therese Plummer consistently proves), but Irene Hannon’s story of lives transformed was beautiful! Enjoyed it all!

The stark contrast in behavior from before to end of story was a wonderful transformation!

I liked the whole storyline and every other book of hers, I’ve read so far.

I love how she weaves faith & a characters who seem to have a relationship with Jesus into her books.

We really enjoy Irene Hannon’s redemptive themes, and depictions of growing love under different circumstances. The author lifts us up to a higher level of relationships, love, and life because God is honored.

Engaging series

I liked the character developments. It had a nice setting, very likable characters. A pleasant business story of a newspaper in a small town that was family owned and is falling short of money. It has a great reputation for truthful stories. Unfortunately they have to look for a buyer for the paper to stay afloat. A great newspaper from Chicago is interested in their journalism and takes an interest in the paper and sends his son to do an audit and there, we have a great love story to develop. Sit back and listen and enjoy!!!!

This is a very nice story
