About this listen

Danny Walker's survival retreat has been devastated by violence since the detonation of the EMP. A megalomaniacal warlord has stepped in to fill the vacuum of authority left by the utter collapse of society. Regent Schlusser's designs on absolute power have already brought him to Danny's doorstep once, leaving a trail of blood and heartbreak in his wake. Another conflict with the malicious dictator will spell certain death for the remaining members of the compound.

Danny's only hope is to infiltrate Schlusser's camp and bring him down from the inside. It's a risky proposition. If he is caught, he'll be executed as a spy, but there is no other alternative.

In this epic struggle between good and evil, Danny's mettle will be tested, his faith will be tried, and he'll have to dig deep for the courage to continue.

Great Book, Well Performed

The entire series is excellent! Can't wait for next installment! This was book 3, with another one promised. Others by author are just as great.

Interesting

At least there is action to the point it will keep the reader interested. People die and new problems are created as a result. It is not one of those books where an untrained civilian and his buddies outsmart and slaughter everybody they encounter. It is a good story but I am not a huge guy for prophetic dreams that tell the future in parables. That is the base of this entire series.

great book

Five stars on all accounts. Love getting to know all the characters, but hate watching them die. Hope they find JC!

Mark Goodwin does it again!

Mark delivers a terrific sequel in the Seven Cows series. If you read the first two books, this third one will not disappoint. And as always, Kevin Pierce delivers the book with excellence. A real pleasure.

Great continuation in the series

What did you like best about this story?

What I liked best about the series is a sense of realism or hardship. Many dystopian novels are to neat. "A Hunt for Jackals" illustrates how not everything goes as planned or is as easy as you think it will be.

Fantastic Series

Love the authors use of scripture in this series. It's contextually relevant without being preachy.

Beans and Rice

I've put a few beans and rice on Mark's plate.....love listening to his books. My son in law was in the 101 st Airborne at that time. It kinda messed him up ( listen to the end )

Christian author - excellent story, well performed. BRAVO!

Enjoyed this audiobook. Why isn't this listed when I search for books by Christian authors? It certainly promotes Christianity within the framework of an excellent story - what I look for quite regularly but seem to have so much difficulty finding.
