Publisher's summary

Laura Foster is a hopeless romantic. It is her most endearing characteristic, yet it consistently leads her into trouble. Friends and family look on with amused tolerance - until Laura's inability to tell reality from romantic dreams causes betrayal and a broken heart. Taking refuge in Norfolk, Laura is bitterly aware that her rose-tinted glasses have to go. She swears off men, and all things romantic, for good - until she meets Nick, the estate manager of a huge stately home. But Nick has a secret too.

Unfortunately predictable

While the story itself was a lot of fun to listen to, and was narrated wonderfully, I found the characters (especially the main female character) just a little bit thick, and quite difficult to relate to with her self destructive thrashings. It was also a little disappointing in its predictability, I had hoped for a few more twists and surprises.

Overall I did enjoy it, it was just these little things that niggled at me. I adored the narration and the warmth and fun Ms Ward brought to her vocal presentation of the novel.

Love this book!

I hope everyone enjoys this as much as I did. You know those stories you never want to end. I enjoyed this as much as the first time I read Bridgit Jones Diary. Love it, Love it

Totally Enjoyable

Fantastic - great story and read so well by a lovely Brit. You will like this author if you like Jill Mansell and you will like this narrator if you like Annie Aldington. And it's 20 hours! Yeeha!
