About this listen

Leni Turner

I learned very young that love had the power to destroy us, and vowed never to lose myself to love another. I escaped Texas, and broke his heart to save myself. Five years later, my dreams shattered, and I’m on a bus back to the place I never wanted to be in.

Liam Moore

After years without contact, I find her green eyes staring back at me, and I realize how much I’ve missed her. She doesn’t want me in her life, but I don’t know how I’ll make it without her in mine.

Sometimes, the thing you’re most scared of has the power to save you in the end.

Angsty Second Chance at Love!

Leni lost the parent lottery, drawing a pair that were unfeeling, uncaring, and uninvolved. This left scars, deep scars that followed Leni into adulthood. Liam had been Leni’s best friend, until those scars made her push him out of her life. Now years later, circumstances force Leni back to Texas, back within Liam’s reach. A Hundread Ways to Love is an angsty, so angsty, rip your heart out deliciously angsty, enemies, to friends, to love romance. Beautifully written and wonderfully narrated with well developed, well defined characters that not only felt real, they brought out some very strong feelings as I listened. I fell in love with Mimi, and I fell in love with Liam! We all need a Mimi and a Liam in our lives! I fell in strong distaste with Leni’s parents. It’s amazing how good writing can bring out such strong feelings and this story did just that and, did it five star worthy! Ellie Wade for the win!

learning to love

This was my first story by this author and I listened the audio version, narrated by Amy Hall & Ryan Haugen. These were also new narrators for me and I thought did a great job bring Leni and Liam to life. I enjoyed this story, even though Leni had such a difficult childhood, but I loved that she always had her summers with Mimi. It was sometimes hard to tell when the story was in the past and when it was in the present , which is why I'm am not the biggest fan of flashbacks in books. A good amount of angst and was happy to have the epilogues that show the future.

Well written but not for me

This book is well written and the characters are well developed. The performance is perfect. That being said this book is just not for me. There is too much new adult angst and I just couldn’t enjoy the book overall. It should be said that this has absolutely nothing to do with the quality of the book because it is well written.

Does love require sacrifice?

Leni Turner made a decision as a young teen that could cost her that HEA. Growing up with a domineering father and a mother who gave up her dream in deference to him, Leni made a commitment to never fall in love. It’s this vow that forced her to push away the one guy that could be that HEA. Can her return to Texas, and being with ppl who genuinely love her, make Leni realize her mistake before it’s too late? Good story. Loved seeing Leni grow emotionally under the gentle direction of her grandmother. Loved the ending!
The new-to-me narration team was fantastic!

Excellent ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This audiobook sucks you in right in the first paragraph, it's amazing. I love Liam and Leni so much, but Leni's journey of self realization and knocking down her walls to let people in was beautiful. This was an emotional rollercoaster, there were funny, heartwarming, and tear inducing moments and I loved them all!!!!

Leni and Liam’s story

What an emotional and angsty audio and book. Thank you for the opportunity to listen to this. Leni and Liam knew each other as children, grew up and drifted apart. Leni running to find her own path, but some how comes back to where her grandmother is. Where unconditional is at. I dont want to gomto much into detail without spoiling anything. Anyways, Liam as always loved Leni but didnt know how to show his love and she didnt know how to accept it. This is an angst read and loved listening to this.

Cute Slowburn

This was a young love denied story with a HEA. The. Her backstory seemed more fleshed out but it felt that his was lacking in detail. Narration was well done

Great message in here!

While I enjoyed this story and the message behind it I did struggle with the delivery. There is a lot of back and forth in years. Some is okay but there is a lot and sometimes the transition back to current time is not mentioned. If that doesn't bother you than this is a good story with memorable characters. I did enjoy the characters. They seemed very realistic and identifiable.

I did listen to this on audio. I have not listened to these narrators before and they both did a good job.
