Publisher's summary

All she wants is an ordinary life

A cruel past left Hannah Gray with one simple longing - normalcy. Normal ladies ride and waltz without fear. They have safe, normal husbands to give them safe, normal kisses. After years of healing, she's ready to find "normal" for herself, and Lady Wallingham's house party is the perfect place to begin. Perfect, that is, except for the cynical wolf-in-rogue's-clothing whose every hungry glance threatens to crack her armor and pierce her fragile heart.

All he wants is to forget her

Bow Street runner Jonas Hawthorn vowed never to see the cold, haughty Miss Gray again. A year ago, he nearly died trying to protect her, only to be dismissed like a lowly servant. But soon, he'll have land and servants of his own. He just has to locate an old dowager's stolen goods, collect his prize, and avoid the beauty who haunts him like a moonlit sky.

All it takes is a single kiss

He never meant to touch her. She never meant to reveal the truth. But once he's tasted the heat and longing hidden beneath her icy mask, the only mystery this Bow Street man burns to solve is how a roguish wolf might win the elusive Miss Gray for himself.

Contains mature themes.

A GREAT END TO A GREAT SERIES!!

AUDIBLE EDITION!!
What can I say another 5 star story in the Recused from Ruin series. This was a really great series! I will re-read this series often.

A Kiss from a Rogue is the final installment in this great and wonderful series. This is Hannah Gray the illegitimate half-sister to Phineas Brand, Earl of Holstoke. We meet Hannah and get to know her story in her brothers story bk.8 A Marriage made in Scandal. We also, meet our hero Bow Street Runner Jonas Hawthorne in that story. This is where Jonas and Hannah first meet. Jonas almost dies saving Hannah's life.

Now to their story. Lady Wallington has been asked to help Hannah find a husband. They all know that Hannah cared deeply for Jonas. So when Lady Wallington's valuable trunk gets stolen, she calls for Jonas Hawthorn to come to her house party and locate the thief!! All the time plotting and planning to unite Jonas and Hannah together.

This was another great couple pairing!! Story moves fast and we get to visit all the other couples from previous books in the series and their children. Too see how they are getting on. It was almost like a family reunion story!!

A Great Ending to a Fabulous Series!

What a great story. As with all the books in this series, it is extra spicy, yet fits with the storyline.
Good character development, a return of our H/h of previous books, adds to the delights of this final one to the series?
I am looking forward to reading the other siblings, John and Kate's stories too in her new Highland series!

Great Finale!

What a wonderful ending to a perfect series. Not a bad story in the bunch!

Mary Sarah's narration was terrific, with her slow whispery voice.

It was so fun to visit with all the group again and to see Hannah finally find peace...along with Jonas.

Perfection!

Narration is terrible

I can't stand the narration. I don't think I can finish this. The male voices are horrible and the tone of everything is off.

I finished it but it was very hard. The story line was good. I knew Hannah's character would be interesting and her mental issues are also complex.
I would pass on the audiobook and read the book instead. Otherwise, you will be tortured with this narration for almost 10 hours.

As much as I like Elisa Braden's stories, if she continues with this narrator I am done with purchasing the audiobooks of her stories..

Needs a new narration

Loved the story. The heroine was strong and fragile at the same time. The hero was kind and very patient with the emotionally scarred heroine. The narration was not very good. The narrators voice went up and down like ocean waves. Her narration seemed like she was on a stage in front of an audience performing a dramatic play. I skipped ahead to get to the end. Mary Sarah has narrated other books ok, but this narration was not so good.

I could not even get through the first chapter

I don’t know who this woman is who is performing this book, but her voice is so annoying! A whispery, breathless, annoying ending at every sentence? I want a refund.

Fairly good

They all have a typical rhythm to them. But it keeps you twirling the page. A talented author.

Narrator is too melodramatic

Couldn’t listen beyond a few minutes as the narrator was much too melodramatic. I’ve listened to other books with the same narrator but just could not persevere this time.

AWFUL Narrator!!!

This narrator is AWFUL! The hissing ‘s’, the breathy drawn out words, the whisper talking, the strange singsongy cadence. TERRIBLE and grated on my nerves. I couldn’t take it.
As for the story…well, after a ridiculously veiled prologue and a first chapter full of nonsense and irrelevance, I gave up.
