About this listen

Two single dads. One accidental pregnancy. Many, many shifter children.

Sam’s mate died four years ago, and penguin shifters mate for life. Sam is never allowed to love again. Even when he meets a kind and beautiful omega who his three children gravitate towards.

After working with Lu for a year, Sam has fallen deeply in love with him. And Lu’s feelings for Sam are painfully obvious.

Caught between the desires of his heart, and the expectations of his culture, Sam must decide what he’s willing to pay to reclaim his own happiness.

A Mate for Lu is a sweet and angsty love story between two single dads. It has hurt/comfort, MPreg of the penguin egg variety, and cameos from characters in the first three Alaskan Pebble Gifters books. A Mate for Lu is book four in the series, and will only make sense if you’ve listened to the first three books.

Lu and Sam… finally

All of the MCs in this series are so deserving of their HEA families but I think Sam and Lu might just be the the most deserving of all so it’s wonderful to see them come together and join their families.

Still loving this series!!!

I absolutely adore this entire series! I am happy to see Lu get his HEA and Sam get a second chance for love. I like seeing more of the penguin culture in this book. I like that both Lu and Sam have friends and family that help in difficult situations. I am definitely looking forward to more books in this series!

Wonderful

I loved reading this book but the audio brings it to life in a fantastic way. I thought the narrator did a really great job with the pace and general narration. Every tone and inflection seemed perfectly used. Absolutely loved it.

So much adorable nesting!

I so love how this series is unfolding. There are cameos by other MCs in the previous books. There's an overarching plotline that shows up to tie everything together. THERE'S ADORABLE NESTING MOMENTS. A teeny tiny mystery plot surrounding magic.

Two single dads, both with some sad vibes. More exploration into the culture differences between penguin and polar bear shifters, nesting with clothes and writing/drawing wishes out for the baby. So stinking cute.

I also adored the plotline for the 13 year old kiddo who's going through their gender reveal and identity discovery. Loved loved loved including a trans kid into the plotline, and how the MC's love and support their kid's decisions and feelings towards the matter. LOVE IT.

Relevant. Intimate. Emotional. Sweet.

I enjoyed listening to Zachary Zaba narrate A Mate for you. He was engaging and entertaining.

His delivery and voices convincing and natural. His tone was warm , friendly and full of empathy

This is a sweet and poignant second chance romance . Emotional , yet it is not overly angsty or/and over dramatic...just the right amount.

A smart written tale that manage to be funny and light while simultaneously tackling relevant , current and heavy topics candidly with honesty and respect .

Listening to the Alaskan Pebble Gifter series -this being book 4- gives me so much joy. At the end of each story I am left feeling better about myself and full of hope for mankind.

Yes, I recommended it. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Being Whole

Sam is lonely and Lu feels some needs in him. Lu as well feels like there is a part of his life that is missing. Allowing this to happen is part of feeling whole. There are other events that also allow this feeling of being whole that will of course lead to more interesting events going forward. I love that this is a complete story about this couple coming together yet there are peeks at other characters from other books and also hints of more things coming.

I listened to the audio version and it was very well done and enjoyable.

Second Chances

A Mate for Lu is one of my favorite books in the Alaskan Pebble Gifters series. Lu is such a sweet and hardworking omega – his struggle and drive to provide for his child is admirable. Then there is Sam’s protective and gentle love which is strong despite all his emotional turmoil. I love how wonderful of a couple they make.

The audiobook was narrated by Zachary Zaba who does a great job. I enjoyed his performance of the book and listening to the story.
