What do you do when the person you can’t get out of your head is the son of the man who jilted you 30 years ago? Proceed with caution!

When Dr. Joseph Nielson - aka Doc - walked into his exam room, the last thing he expected to find was the spitting image of the fiance who had hurt him so badly that he’d spent the rest of his adult life as a bitter bachelor.

Marion Harris is a 29-year-old virgin...who happens to be nine months pregnant, thanks to having agreed to be a surrogate for his best friend. After an unlucky year of sorrow, he’s now alone with a child to raise and nowhere else to go but his father’s hometown of MacIntosh Meadows.

After a not-so-great first impression, the two men keep finding themselves pushed together during the holiday season they both hate by a mischievous family who loves them - the MacIntosh clan. Despite every reason they shouldn’t, neither one can find a good enough reason to fight the matchmaking...or the natural attraction they both feel.

This is the fourth book in this heart-warming series and contains a virgin giving birth in a barn, three wise guys in pajamas, and enough holiday feels to keep you smiling into the new year. Pretty much everything you’d expect from a Susi Hawke book.

A barn baby is a Christmas miracle indeed

Everyone who knows me know that I’m a sucker for May December romances. So I was really thrilled when I found out that Susi Hawke is coming up with a new Macintosh Meadows couple with quite a substantial age gap. I have loved listening to previous Macintosh Meadows couples too and this one isn’t an exception.

Marion is a 29 years old omega virgin who just happens to be 9 months pregnant. After agreeing to be the surrogate for his best friend, Marion found himself alone and nowhere to find shelter. So he decided to return to his roots, a quaint, happy town of Macintosh Meadows. There he met Dr. McHottie Joseph who happened to date his father decades ago. Joseph is both surprised and hurt to meet this omega in need of help who also happened to be the son of his lover who jilted him decades ago. But despite his mixed feelings, our Good Samaritan Doctor has never turned a blind eyes for a soul in need of help. A baby is coming and sparks are flying. Perhaps it’s time for a Christmas miracle for both Joseph and Marion!

This is quite funny. Susi Hawke stories are kinda cheesy and a lot fluffy. But who cares? My soul sometimes just need a big bowl of rainbow candies. The story is very sweet and not angsty. Plus a barn baby!!! And Grandmas are adorbs. Drew Becca did a good job narrating this story because I really enjoyed it. I can’t wait for my next Macintosh Meadows dose of a new couple!

Cute Holiday story

In the spirit of no/low angst Holiday reads, we have the story of 29 yr old Marion who is heading to MacIntosh to take possession of the property that his uncle left him in his will. Marion has been through a lot. 10 years previously, he lost his fathers to carbon monoxide poisoning and the less than a year previously he lost his best friend and her husband. Oh and by the way, Marion is pregnant with their child. He had agreed to be a surrogate for them when she was unable to do so. We have Joseph who has not gotten over his first love leaving him at the alter many years ago. When Marion finally makes it to town, his car gives up the ghost right in front of the grandmothers. And of course they take him under their wings and make him feel right at home. When Joseph & Marion first meet, it is not love at first site for Joseph. Marion's father was Joseph's best friend & to get him out of a bad situation, he agreed to marry him, but when the big day happened, Marion's dad left town & Joseph high & dry. Needless to say, Joseph wanted nothing to do with Marion. But the of course the entire crew wants Joseph to finally be happy and keeps pushing these two together. As they spend time together, Joseph starts to see Marion for the man he is & lets the past drop away. I absolutely loved the goats in pajamas and every time Drew Bacca baa'ed, I broke out laughing. I can't wait for the next book in this series.

Fantastic

A Merry MacIntosh Christmas is the fourth book in the MacIntosh Meadows series by Susi Hawke. It is a contemporary m/m romance with an mpreg, an age gap and a very interesting twist.

This book is sweet, funny, and had me smiling while reading. Marian and Joseph are fantastic characters that just make you fall in love. Definitely recommend this book!.

This book is narrated by Drew Bacca. Fantastic voicework- different voices for the characters that bring out the emotion and personality. The recording is clean and smooth.

Great ending to a great Series

I received an ARC of this audio for my honest review. I loved Doc & Marion, was glad to see that Doc finally found his happy ending. At first it didn't seem like he would as Marion reminded him of a love he lost years ago. The MacIntosh family is a really tight knit family and the grandmothers are hysterical. They wind up taking Marion in when his truck breaks down in the parking lot of the diner and they make him feel a part of the big family. Sorry to see this series end.

Lots of Christmassy goodness in MacIntosh Meadows!

I loved being able to listen to A Merry MacIntosh Christmas soon after finishing the MacIntosh Meadows: The Complete Trilogy! This fourth book in the series is the first one that doesn't feature the three MacIntosh brothers (although they're all present and accounted for here!); instead, what we have here is the story of Joseph Nielson and Marion Harris. Joseph is forty, an alpha, and the town's doctor who doesn't believe in love or happily-ever-afters. On the other hand, Marion is twenty-nine, and omega, and a virgin...and pregnant. Say what?! Yes, Marion happens to be very much pregnant but still a virgin because he was a surrogate, only now, the parents of the unborn child--one of whom was his best friend--have passed away. Marion is all alone, losing not only his best friend but also his own parents. When he meets Joseph, aka Doc, the older man's reaction to him doesn't give him the warm fuzzies, but that's what happens when Marion looks so much like his father--who just happens to be Joseph's ex-fiancé and the man who broke his heart. Will Christmas thaw the icy walls between the two men? Maybe, especially if there's help from the brothers MacIntosh and the town of MacIntosh Meadows.

This was a real treat to listen to! I loved the lighthearted feel of the story and how Marion and Joseph may not have had the warmest of first meetings but then fate, chance, and some major matchmaking had these two realizing that they may actually be a meant-to-be pairing. Susi Hawke did a really great job with this book, and I adored her take on the nativity scene. Having the couples that those who are familiar with the series make appearances here was definitely a bonus, more so because they weren't passive supporting characters either. This was such an easy-to-listen audiobook, and Drew Bacca matched it really well, bringing it to life with his narration. A Merry MacIntosh Christmas easily receives four stars. ♥

Ahh sooo incredibly sweet!

Marion and Joseph are just the sweetest!! Drew Baca did an amazing job again with the 4th book in the MacIntosh Meadows series by Susi Hawke. I loved the narration and the story, hearing about Doc and meeting Marion. Susi brings back the whole MacIntosh clan along with learning more of the town and getting the whole holiday feel. I wish this wasn’t short and sweet and we could hear more but I loved everything about it—that’s why I want more!

Cute and enjoyable

Short but sweet Christmas story. Good narration, no angst and very little sexual content. It would make a great Hallmark Christmas movie.

A New Beginning

With sorrow in his heart, Marion comes to MacIntosh Meadows to start over.
He didnt expect to stir up old ghosts and expose past hurts.
But, Doc Joseph was someone he could not stop himself from getting closer to, even if their first meeting didnt go so well.

This was a lovely holiday romance, with loads of Christmas feels to it and the whole cast of previous MacIntosh characters.

I loved how both characters got a new beginning and were able to make a brighter and better future for themselves.

The narration was done well and each character was identifiable even though there were so many of them.
A lovely age gap book to listen to.
