About this listen

Simone Brooks and Cameron Bennett should not be together. She’s a wealthy socialite looking for a suitable husband. A man with the right pedigree and an economic status that matches her own.

He’s part owner of the hottest nightclub in Atlanta with his siblings. Someone who loves cooking, the outdoors, and women - not necessarily in that order.

After one night together, their sizzling chemistry makes it difficult to stay away. Then comes the hard part - navigating their differences to salvage a relationship that, while it may be imperfect, overflows with love and passion.

This book was previously part of The Bennett Triplets series.

What A Pleasant Surprise!!!

I just knew I was going to hate this book but, I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised by A Passionate Love. I really enjoyed it! It was actually very entertaining. It did start out kind of slow but, it started to pick up speed and actually hold my attention by chapter 3. I loved me some Simone and Cameron. They were a cute couple. It takes a strong woman to love a man who doesn't have a cell phone or any kind of streaming services. Whew chile! That meddling azz Sylvie worked my last damn nerve. She was so stuck up and pretentious. Here she comes sticking her nose in Simone and Cameron's relationship and trying to break them up. Ugh! Please have several seats Sylvie. I don't know if y'all realize this but, the Bennett siblings are apart of four different series. You have The Bennett Triplets, Atlanta's Finest, The Brooks Family, and Arrington Family and Friends. That makes it difficult reading these character's story in order and that offends my Type A sensibilities. As always, Sean Crisden did the damn thing. His narration is always on point. This was my first book by Delaney Diamond. I don't know if I enjoyed A Passionate Love enough to read any of her other series but, I'm definitely excited to read Sylvie and Ella's story.

Beautiful

I finished this in one day which is a record for me. I loved that she was so methodical and careful in most of her life, but yielded to her body, mind, and soul for this man. That is strength!

A Nice Love Story

It's nice to read about people that can say they were wrong and go get what they want.

Made sense

There was a lesson to learn in this book about wealth; although I’m not fortunate to experience the wealth portrayed in the book, I can see it from the Sylvie’s perspective. In a case like this one, love may not conquer all. The narrator did a good job with characters. Another quality about this book is that it didn’t add a lot of fluff and unnecessary details; it was concise and straightforward. I’m beginning to appreciate shorter length books.

Enjoyed

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I didn't think I was going to like the Johnson women but I did like Simone and Ella but the jury is still out on Sylvie. I'm glad Cameron and Simobe found their Happily Ever After. Can't wait to read another book by Delaney Diamond.
