All these books are so wonderful

These characters are all so good to one another, it’s the community everyone wants. Hard to have a favorite character when there’s all great. The narrator is perfect too. Highly recommend. 👍

Wonderful continuation of the story, but narration is terrible

I almost gave up on this one because of the terrible narration. The attempt at a male, American voice is awful to the point I dreaded any pages with Able in them. The children's voices were bad, as well as the old lady voices were screechy and impossible to understand. The writing annotated who is speaking, so the ameturish voices aren't necessary. This one needs to be recorded again.

Good story, bad performance

Rosie Clarkes books are filled with history and experiences of a time, that we hope to never forget. Her books have motivated me to learn more of that time in history, to help me understand what people went through just to survive dayto day.
The other Rosie Clarke books I could not stop listening but due to the reader, I could not finish this book. The performance in the previous books made listening a pleasure but this performance, was pretty much stunk.

Same thing different day.

I love an ongoing saga but this series is like days of our lives, the characters have all the same trials and tribulations as the previous books. It becomes very same same.
The reader has the habit of speaking dreadfully slowly each time the character was elderly, which gives you the nasty impression she thinks all older people are a bit slow. I can't listen to any more.
