Hmph…

Was a good story, it had all the makings of a fluid light listen but with enough action to make it enjoyable…… BUT the most terrible thing of all was the AI.. with its exclamations and verbal lilts that were after every sentence. I can’t believe that I even listened to the whole book. It made me feel like the main character was some emotionless victim of terrible circumstances. I went ahead and just took the abuse from the AI my ears may need therapy after being subjected to it, but I will say hopefully this writer or it’s publisher can afford a good verbal actor and I feel that this would be well like. It has the makings of great in between your favorite series as you wait for your next credit type of book….…… yes I said Ear Therapy!

Do not bother with virtual voice

I do not recommend having virtual voice read a novel. It is dry and monotone.

Virtual voice ruins story

Liked story. Voice has flat inflection at end of sentences . Might be cheaper but a fair human narration would get 4 plus ratings…

Good story

Good story; plenty of beleaguered protagonist obstacles, identifiable characters, an d absorbing plot. AI voice was so good I forgot it wasn't real.
